BizAsia previously reported that Fawad Khan was likely to star in Nitin Kakkar's directorial, Raat Baaki', which would be produced by Salman Khan Films. Kakkar himself has now confirmed the news.
Talking to DNA, Kakkar said, "We go on floors with Fawad sometime next year. He is locked in. We are currently in the process of getting an actress on board." The film will roll early next year when Fawad's dates are available. However, unlike the director's last film Filmistan, there is no social message in this one. The director adds, "This is an urbane love story. But more than that, it's an interesting take on relationships between a boy and a girl".
Initially, rumours were flying about that Khan would star in Jugalbandi'. A source revealed, "Amar Butala, who's heading SKF, has been in constant touch with Fawad and it's true that the two have finally decided to work together. But it's not for Jugalbandi. Fawad has greenlit Filmistaan director Nitin Kakkar's next film instead".
Khan will be seen next in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' which is a Diwali release.
