I would say the judge was biased in favor of the girls. He was throughout very sensitive to them and chided both the lawyers multiple times when they asked them uncomfortable questions or made insensitive remarks. But I guess this is required in trials like this. You wouldnt want even the judge to look at them the same way Rajbir or his lawyers would look at them in cases like this. But since there were two cases filed each by the girl and the boys hence the girls won the case and charges against the boys were proved. You wont get a confession everytime. You have to rely on circumstantial evidence and witness of the girls based on which they were proven guilty.

@BI- I thought Meenal was raped in the car too because they were not showing the bottom part of the body! So I assumed she was!

I don't get why they didn't investigate the marks, because Meenal was molested. You can medical reports to prove such things right?

I agree with the TM to some extent, I felt the trial was not executed properly too. There were many loose ends in the verdict! There were many proofs or witnesses they could use to free the girls which they didn't use. Meenal had registered a FIR when she went with her teacher, nobody talked about that! Infact they would have CCTV footage that she was in the police station to register a FIR. Then I even felt the SHO's argument he didn't pursue it to the end. Just because she wrote 2 lines for this case and not for the others, doesn't make that enough proof. They should have kept going on about how she couldn't have reached the police station so fast, which Deepak left the issue after some time. Secondly the serial numbers,if she did indeed fit in the report in the two lines left on hat par then she should have to change the serial numbers on all the further reports! They should've checked that since she would have to cut them and write again. Then falak accepting that they got paid, I understand she did that to prove a point but I would'be preferred to use 'IF' than say that they definately got paid. Because if they got paid there could start a case of prostitution on them since prostitution is illegal in India. There were some more points, but I'll leave it for some other time.

The SHO said they were searching for Meenal for a week when Meenal was going on with her usual routine activities. They should have proved that she was lying.

Yes exactly! She entered the police station, how could she have been absconding! If they tell the judge the timing & date she went to the police station they can get the CCTV footage for that. She did her dance programme, there would've been LOADS of witnesses. If he had egged on the SHO more,maybe she herself would've confessed. There was no corruption case put against her. In Jolly LLB they immediately tell somebody to start the case against the police inspector who lied. I'm suprised they didnteven cross examine the weakest link in the case- the school friend! He was so scared he would've broken.

Off Topic: Too much praise for a film is a put-off for me.. Hence I didn't watch the movie yesterday. Will watch it next year.. when I can watch it without others and my own bias.
