In today's business where getting a HIT or making it profitable has become difficult and many heroes /superstars are struggling to get past the profit margin

Kangana managed to do it not in one but 2 movies where she played the main character in the movie with exceptional actors and no stars otherwise . She managed to make profits and huge ones for both queen and Tanu weds manu returns., Credit must also be given to the crew of the film who were excellent.

I feel I understand the value of her hits now when the bollywood market is going through difficult times.

I hope her Rani laxmi bai and the one with Rajkumar rao does it again

I wonder when is the next bollywood hit coming again

i know this forum dislikes her but have to be honest..the kinda success which she has tasted with Queen and especially TWMR is envious

the collections of TWMR are the highest ever (150cr) for a movie being centered by or having a more popular face as the leading lady

these days especially this year with movies made on a budget of 120 cr doing 57cr..her Queen made on a budget of 10 doing 60 and TWMR made on a budget of 35 doing 150 is just WOW!

In the meantime she had flops too (Revolver Rani, Rajjo, Katti Batti).

I hope all her movies will be succesful but while she deserves some credit, so does the director (who makes the movie) and the producer (who smartly manages the budget and distribution).

I'm looking forward to Rangoon too :D

Tina - I will rephrase your post as
I appriciate Kangana Coz she is such a dynamic actor that she took Queen and TWM movies to box office success . A lot of good movies come and go unnoticed . Thankfully KR made these movies to be noticed and took them past winning post .
No one can save a bad movie . But we need actors and stars like KR to save decent movies and making them a hit .

Even if one or two don't work at the BO..she will still get work.

People hire actors for roles..and not Boxoffice.

Atleast that is how it should be.

One doesn't have to be a great actor..They must entertain the audience ,the way they promised.

People are relieved that A flying Jatt couldn't fly after the weekend.But critics unanimously agree that Tiger was the best part of the film.He will get many more offers.

As long as an actor delivers his/her personal best..They will continue getting good roles..

SSR is cast in Ronnie Screwalla's comeback venture..and the director is Abhishek Kapoor( so what if Fitoor was a disaster-he is talented)

Be sincere as an artiste and do films for the right reasons-Public instinctively understands that.

Not taking anything away from her, but she also has Katti Batti and RR (what the hell was that?!!) to her name post Queen.. Yes.. she is a great actress but like all other actresses need strong content and a good director to make a film hit.. I would give her credit for choosing her scripts wisely more than anything in addition to being a good actress

The prominent point here is she delivered a hit solely by carrying the movie on her shoulders. If you saw queen, except for Rajkumar rao, Lisa Hayden and herself.

She and the crew made people pay money and go to the theater on this alone...that is a feat. To bring people to the theater without any star/superstar/ OTT marketing/publicity is extremely difficult , that's why her achievement stands out for me personally.

Oh this forum dislikes her? Guess I'm in the minority then. 😉

I mostly think she has very insightful things to say and I learn quite a few valuable things from watching her interviews. No doubt she works very hard on her roles and I think she is one of those actresses whose style is very hard to duplicate. That's why she is mostly irreplaceable in her roles.

^^I dont believe that People went to watch Kahani,Queen and other films just watch these actors perform.If that was the case,After these hits..other films too should have had a good opening.

Queen opened at 1.7 crores.

TWMR was a franchise with a director who has been a hitmaker..so it opened big,

(Franchises like Welcome Back opened at 15 crores with John Abraham..ABCD2 with hit director Prabhdeva..opened at 14 crores.)..

The film has to be appealing,The trailers and promos should be exciting.The actor plays a big role in that.But Material should be good too.
