Shah Rukh has always believed in taking risks in his career while Salman has always maintained a safe way out

Shah Rukh Khan who made his debut with Deewana in 1992 has almost completed 25 years in Bollywood and the number is no less. The Baadshah of Bollywood is ruling the industry for the past few years though he might be suffering few setbacks recently. SRK has always been a perfect Yash Raj hero who can make any girl go weak in the knees but at the same time fierce enough to scare his opponents. He never believed in taking a safe way and in fact has always opted to try something better and tougher. Which other actor would dare to attempt a negative role in the beginning of his career? But he did and we still remember his kkk kiran... That was his impact and probably the directors that he worked with, eyed him as the next dark horse.
On the other hand, his good friend Salman Khan who is like box office's favourite has been giving a string of hits with his movies like Bajrangi bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Sultan. We can say that he makes a new record with his every release and the other actors have to then fight to touch this mark. However Salman has never experimented with his roles onscreen as such. Do you remember Salman playing a negative shade ever in his career? The answer will be no. Since he likes playing it safe and that puts him behind SRK. We are not complaining about Salman being a typical Bollywood hero but are mere suggesting the reasons that make SRK a better star. We will prove to you that Shah Rukh has always made braver choices than Salman Khan.
#Salman's safe way out
Don't you guys feel Salman has been typecasted as a good boy on screen? In all his previous movies, like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, PRDP and Sultan, he has portrayed a similar character who is so good and sweet that he will make anyone go and hug him. His portrayal as the guy next door is so done and dusted right now that we seriously want him to try a new avatar on screen. Be a grey shade or a total antagonist, Salman needs to make a change in his choice of movies. If you want to correct our point by saying he had grey shades in Kick, don't forget Shah Rukh Khan was an out and out bad guy in Darr.
#Breaking the stereotype
This actor simply loves experimenting with his roles and characters on screen. With Fan too, he tried attempting a different thing in Bollywood. Which other star would like to do a movie with no leading actress or no songs in it. The movie did not click with the audience but atleast he tried to bring an innovation in the industry.
#Variety is the essence
You will see him as an alcohol mafia in his next Raees, which will be another grey character in his career. His second venture with Imtiaz Ali has him enacting a role of tour guide in Prague. Who else if not SRK will think about romancing an actress on screen as a travel guide? The thought itself is unconvincing but he gave his nod to it and we are sure he will make his character come alive like always. The third movie in the Chak De star's kitty is Anand L.Rai's next which will require him to play a dwarf. This would be like a worse dream for any actor to get portrayed as someone shorter than his heroine. Who would like it? But this Baadshah didn't think twice and just signed on the dotted lines without any hesitation. We doubt if any other actor would have agreed for this role. Critics mocked at his decision to attempt such a risky character, however the star was firm and we are sure he will nail it.
# What next?
Today Shah Rukh is in such a position that doesn't require his movies to necessarily do well money wise. The actor has gone far beyond it. He is the world renowned actor and some countries recognize India with his name. His fan are not restricted to a mere single continent and that is the reason why his movies do well overseas sometimes and not here. Tomorrow when he looks back, he would like to see himself as someone who has done and attempted everything in his industry right from A to Z. For him the quality and variety in his roles matter and not the the money that it makes. He wants to make a lasting impression so that in coming years his viewers remember him as a performer' and not a mere actor'
