To be Soulful singer one needs to be heartbroken (true one) as per the advice and RK suffers that along with rejection.

He becomes famous by singing soulfully ( shiddat se) but doesn't like it anymore (that he had coveted so much before) .He now longs for his true love. Every time he sings soulfully he reunites with his true love ,nargis's character.

The anger was for countless rejection in life and most importantly Heartbreak over his one true love.

IMO

Imitiaz movies are so confusing and over intelligent pale nahin padti 😆😆😆

Aunty sitting next to me started snoring 😆😆😆

RK fans dragged me to theater 😆😆😆

Ranveer as Bajirao was nothing special his performance was overrated.
And I haven't seen barfi and Rockstar so don't know. I hardly watch a BW movie except movies of SRK, Salman and Kareena 😆

Imtiaz probably fell in love/slept with Nargis, lost his head and went with the flow..But then again, he was cheating on his wife with Iman Ali at that point if am not wrong..Am sure he has really poetic, abstract and philosophical thoughts on adultery, infidelity etc. so you never know 😆

Thanks Roggie for posting. Was Rockstar a success or a flop? I don't think I know. 😕

Rockstar was a HIT, mainly for RK's acting and the hit songs.

If any actress other than Nargis would have done his lover's role, it could have been superhit. For me at least her presence ruined the movie.

Yes, I am. I had become very formal in my approach to everybody. Marriage is so artificial; it comes with so many dos and don'ts that not only make you claustrophobic but also mediocre. It reduces you to a ch***a version of yourself, you play roles to meet someone else's expectations. Today, I say things as they are. I'm not hypocritical. I am as open-minded as when I was in school and college.

Highway.

Not Rockstar?
Ranbir was flawless... Yes, Ranbir was terrific, but Rockstar was a defective film. There were many jumps in the story and things which no longer make sense to me. And I faced so much criticism for cast ing Nargis Fakhri.

Do you regret the decision?
No, the film may not have worked for her, but working with another heroine who knew Hindi better would have fostered mediocrity. The challenge to work with Nargis raised the film's intensity.

Interpret it whichever way you want 😆
