What is patriotism? Is it staying back and becoming part of the problem or doing something about it? Patriotism and government policies are two different things. When you air your grieviences against the governement it isnt unpatriotic. Your love for country and your frustrations with the systems is part of patriotism because you show care and concern. Most of Indias GDP is due to foreign remittence. It is one of the largest in the world. This is only because of NRI's.
Umm..Sorry don't quite agree.
You assume people staying back in India are part of the problem...
High amounts of foreign remittances are mostly in form of FIIs which are highly unstable form of investments coz they can be withdrawn almost immediately...
Also FIIs often lead to overheating of the economy & drive up the inflation of basic goods & services . We need Indians to stay in India & invest in Indian physical assets .An efficient infra would attract FDIs from NRIs & Foreigners which is a much more involved & stable form of investment...This would happen if we function well DOMESTICALLY only then will they trust India as an efficient investment hub.
I agree that criticising the govt is not equal to sedition & hence was against vilifying those who were criticising beef bans & violent acts against class or community..Unfortunately Akshay sided with the govt. at that time so peeps here are bound to question the authenticity of his tall claims of being a REAL patriot!!!
