Thats why I mentioned earlier that it is all about responsible behavior and trying to assmilate. You can perfectly balance both lives without being a traitor to one or another. The best part of going about it is you take the good bits, and you skip the bad parts. You mix the two and make the most of your life and those around you.

So as per some here ...Akki is not doing anything for canada but he is doing everything for india he just has a paper so how does that fit in ??? doesn't he have any responsibility towards canada which is his identity whenever he goes outside india , when he takes the benefit of not applying for visa like a normal indian for many country or when he is given preference due to his passport ?

@Boss... when you ask whether people staying back and becoming a part of the problem is patriotic, it makes no sense. How are those not living here solving our problems from abroad?? Are we living off your remittances?? You need to check our BOP to only realise that India earns far more through its services exports than it does through remittances.

Also since when is staying back equivalent to becoming a part of the problem. There is more to India than its so-called problems, you'd know that had you lived here.

Its not a case of doubting patriotism of those who live outside India and have foreign passports.

Most NRIs are deeply patriotic towards their home country, its a mixture of nostalgia, guilt complex, clinging to our roots, traditions, culture, etc.

We are not talking abt NRIs here but an Indian actor who lives and works in India but still gave up Indian citizenship and took Canadian one. WHY? 😕

He has never lived for a long time in Canada, has he?

Indians who give up Indian citizenship are the ones who have lived abroad for a long time or at least long enough to get that country's citizenship.

Why did Akshay feel the need to give up Indian passport and get Canadian citizenship?

The reason to doubt him more is because he spouts such patriotic jargon in his movies.

Is that all for the sake of public image and making his films successful under the current regime?

Dude what trillions...you need a crash course in the Indian economy if you are living under such delusions. Majority of Indian FDI is routed through a tax haven called Mauritius through a phenomenon known as roundtripping. Which means its the Indian black money which is being made white through the round trip and being invested in India.

So yeah essentially Indians are their own source of FDI.
