Shah Rukh Khan beats Salman and Akshay to feature on Forbes list - Page 23

Saying that Bollywood actors are global superstars these days is no longer an understatement. After listingDeepika Padukone as the tenth highest-paid actress in the world, Forbes has brought out its list of highest paid actors for the past year, and it features not one, not two, but four Bollywood stars among the top 20.

Entering at number 8 along with Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr., is the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, with an income of $33 million over the period of 1st June 2015 to 1st June 2016. But then again, it's only befitting that SRK takes pole position among Indian actors after being the most globally recognized face of Indian cinema for so many years. He's followed by Akshay Kumar at number 10, with an income of $31.5 million over the same period. Together, they beat the likes of Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, and Mark Wahlberg.

On Thursday, we had reported that Deepika Padukone had bagged 10th position in the Forbes' World's highest paid actresses list. The actor's list came out last evening and two of the Bollywood's top actors have grabbed the spot in top 10.

Hollywood actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson became the highest-paid actor in the world with an estimated earnings of $64.5 million. While the wrestler-turned-actor is enjoying the success, Bollywood actors weren't behind at all. Shah Rukh Khan is the 8th highest paid actor with $33 million sharing the spot with Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. Not only SRK, but Akshay Kumar is at 10th position with $31 million.

Both the actors managed to beat big names like Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith and Chris Pratt who gave huge hits last year.

Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan didn't make the top 10 cut but managed to grab spots in top 20. Salman is at No. 14 with $28.5 million and Mr. Bachchan at number 18 with $20 million.
