MD may not be a great movie but it is not so bad for the majority of critics to have trashed it. So it is possible that there is a campaign here to malign the film. What stands out for me is that it is the film that has been targeted and NOT HR. most reviews have canned the film but praised his effort. It is a different from BV where both the film and RK were criticized. So it stands to reason that here the target is Ashutosh Gowarikar and NOT Hrithik. Hrithik has always been a low key sort of guy and he continues to be so. The "my silly ex " from KR did rile him enough to take a stand though I do not think the industry as a whole has ganged up against him or anything like that over that unsavoury episode.I am not convinced he has been targeted.These affairs are passe in BW and would not decide the fate of a movie I am sure. Akshay is rumoured to have a bigger roving eye than HR definitely so if la'affaire was the reason it would be AK to be targeted.
Akshay may have had some reviews doctored ..these superstars are believed to take that course specially when they are at the fag end of their careers.They have the resources and are on shaky ground .

But the fall guy is AG for sure and not HR.

Sajid is Farah's brrother and FK is a close buddy of SRK.

Next another huge public gaffe at IIFA in 2009

"Ashutosh Gowariker apparently managed to wedge two feet in his mouth at this year's International Indian Film Academy Awards in Macau, China.

Foot One was inserted when he ingloriously slammed actress Priyanka Chopra with this unfortunate accolade cum insult: "Priyanka I love you, but I don't know how you got the award for Best Actress when Aishwarya was also nominated in the same category for 'Jodhaa Akbar'."

While I was tempted to give him the benefit of the doubt for a sarcastic joke gone awry, he promptly inserted Foot Two during his attempt to recover from this gaffe, wondering aloud if Priyanka's hard work, rather than lack of natural talent, was reason for this award. Directly from the horse's (rather wide) mouth: "Maybe it is because you are very hard-working and she is a natural..."
I wonder: Too many feet for one mouth . . .or is his mouth too big for one foot? "

PC as we all know is an SRK favourite.

I am therefore convinced the industry has stood up against the director and not the star with SRK taking up the cudgels.
