Does not MD have more screens than Rustom?? Plus the movie may not have much buzz in social media. but the main audience of HR solo movies are not only social media people but family people. see I am not using any reverse jinx or sarcastic tone, but the fact he is having a movie release after two years might give him a big advantage, plus Rustom is not exactly a family entertainer. why Rustom can have bigger opening: 2016 seems to be like Akshay's best year since 2007 when he was at top with 4 Hits in a year. Plus this year we have seen apart from Sultan and HF3, all the successful movies are good, content driven movies rather than masala family entertainer. And from the trailers Rustom looks like a good court room drama (but who knows it might turn out of crap). So these stuffs will be in its favour. Why MD can have bigger opening: HR is having a movie after nearly two years, he has a very solid fan base.Plus MD looks like a clinche good vs bad drama with love background which appeals a certain group of audience especially the bigger percentage the family group, although that group will turn up during holidays still. there is a huge chance MD might win the opening day war. Why Rustom cannot have bigger opening: The movie is dealing with adultery and a darker theme, so it might hold back a certain group of audience especially the family ones. Who IMO will prefer the lighter MD. why MD will not have bigger opening: Because the buzz if quite low, and the trailers are not that exciting, IMO they should have had shown the comic parts of the movie in the trailer, as comic parts are the things which make a movie BB.
