Posting the below post as a separate topic because that would only be seen by people interested in seeing Amitabh pulling a James Bond. This needs to be seen by everyone.

India Forums site is so outdated and has been regressing over time. The interface remains the same even after 12 years. Such a tacky looking site + we still dont get any notifications if someone quotes or likes our post. You cannot follow any particular topic. You cannot customize your page. There are n number of other such features that have developed over time. Look at Quora for example! Such an amazingly maintained site.

When will IF come to speed with the rest of the world!

Yes I agree. Everyday new sites are added to banned list. There is hardly any image site left. Many people's hard work designing graphics is spoiled because that content is now unavailable. When I type with cellphone it repeatedly duplicates words and makes mistakes. The forum code system to add YouTube videos and other flash files is ridiculously out dated. You can't even multi quote posts when responding. You can't really ignore users.

Why isn't there an self deactivate account feature ? Facebook , Twitter and all major platforms have this feature .
Second issue is Mods . These are unpaid volunteers, so speed of getting any work done is ridiculous . Am waiting reply from GMs for deactivating my account .

I would like a minimalistic responsive design. Also a customizable dashboard where I can pin forums and topics of my liking for quick access.

But there is really no incentive for IF to incorporate changes.

I don't understand people complaining about the deactivate feature...arre aap ko IF gunpoint per aaker log in karaata hai forum per?...aap apni marzi se aate ho...mat aao forum per...and if one is so addicted to the forum...even if the account is deactivated ...another account can be created in 2 minutes...so I don't get the point here?😕

theres no notification if someone has replied to or has liked ur comment ,layout is bland.mods r not very active,takes longer to load than other sites and also u cab't make ur own dashboard with your fav topicsthis site does need modiification
