Those movies were good but didnt work much!!
The kind of genere audience want,they make film on them!!

Ishq vishq, fukrey, udaan i can only recall these don't there are many movies in these genere

Ishq vishq falls under this category? I loved that movie! Also Mera pehla pehla pyaar and wake up Sid. These are the three I can think of that I liked. I think film makers play it safe.

You are right, this kind of genre has very limited audience. They have mostly multiplex audience because single screen audience are mostly interested in masala movies. Now everything has became number games and everyone is running in rat race

I feel the time period which did matter. Now is the time for strong content films, be it either biopics or incidents. However there was no given specific for this genre. Moreover such films can actually do wonders if given a very good script. It has worked for TV and it can work for films
