yes true but in todays time u will be out of public memory if there is no news about you .It takes time to get back. I believe she is wat she is today because of all the factors listed by the thread maker and not just any one in particular😊

I have a different opinion. Audience have change and want to see actresses in powerful roles. That's why you see a film like Kahaani vidya become blockbuster hit or tanu weds manu super hit or Piku cocktail hits. Audience does not care about whose dating who, we want to see Queen, Kahaani, Piku 😊

Her choices of movie first and foremost, she has that Indian beauty feel which keeps her connectes with the girls and makea guys go woo over her.
Plus she has done incredible job on her acting, screen presence she always had and also being tall, she carries her height off very well not awkward like Sonam.

Also her marketing and publicity skills are really good.

Ambition + Competitive spirit (a lot of people have talent. You need this to reach the top.) + focus + Good networking

Her acting! Everything else was there prior to her rise but it was her own hard work, sweat, and efforts that really placed her at the top

I would like to click everything because all of these are her ingredients that made her what she is today. But what made me notice her was her beauty and a beauty who really represents India in a SRK movie and it was her luck to got that chance to in that movie.

Being link to someone also haveing a bad break up people automatically will root for you and sympathize with you. I think also for herself that break up made her realise how people actually thought about her (industry) so she worked even harder on her acting, her body and dancing skills to proof herself and everybody else that she is not only a pretty girl and will vanish after the break up.

It was again her luck that she got cocktail and its also luck that you meet the right people director producers and its her personality that also plays here a big role. So having hits and you cant deny it if you are in a SRK movie there will be a lot of people who will see you and being good in those you will gain more fans.

And parallel to what is happening there is also the PR Team who needs to make her present feel cause only good looks doesnt help likewise only talent.

But i think hard-working, patience and luck/destiny is appropriate for the cause of Stardom
