I'm starting to give up hope about him doing good solo hero flicks, with him attached to KJo and now doing another supporting role for SLB. I'm sure he will get a lot of critical acclaim for this role but it will only be very helpful to him if he manages to outshine the other two because SLB's obsession with RS-DP will affect his role in the movie.

Well, I was hoping to see him and DP together at least once so that's good.

I am not sure SLB will take FK in this movie ..if he does it will be a good choice as RV/ DP /FK will make a formidable trio. But the role needs to be a important for a big star to sign up...maybe Shahid is not keen because it carries no weight.

I would have liked RV/ DP/HR too. HR was impressive in a period film Jodha Akbar.

I hope its Fawad he is the only one who would be appropriate for this role. He is a known face but not yet such a big star to not have any problems to take this part and it will give him a lot more attention in the masses Fawad looks good and will good look with DP and will fit in as a royal prince.

As i said earlier dont confuse this part with Kashibai. Ratan is not really a strong character like Kashi was. DP role as Padmavati is stronger and people will feel at least more for her than it was with Mastani. Comeing to the Khiliji part if SLB stays true to the story Veer will play a villian and everyone should hate him in the movie.

So if DP plays it right she as an actor and character will shine clearly. The Ratan character is that everybody will feel bad for him for the situation he is and Veers character all depends on his acting there is no way you will feel for him and his obsession but it depends how Veer will deliver this one.

So for the eyes the combo of this three will be a delight to watch and SLB needs someone who will have a good chemistry with DP because there will be no love story or not even scenes between her and Veer. So Fawad is the best choice and I hope he is it.
