Rekha vs Jaya Bhaduri - Page 2

I liked the fact that the reason that Amitabh became THE AMITABH BACHCHAN is because of Jaya Bhaduri. I also liked the fact that Jaya never compromised with her ethics, values and dignity for the sake of a role. If you see her films, whether she's playing a glamourous role or a simple one, she's always been modest in the way she presents herself...She is an amazing actress..the most decorated actress in India...I will choose her any day over someone who looks like she's practising black magic over Amitabh Bachchan at home...!😕

I love Rekha for her beauty & dancing & even her acting because she's a very good actor no doubt, but Jaya B is just something else!!! She's much more talented than her husband but chose family over movies. I love Jaya B in every movie that she does, even KHNH which I didn't like but she was so good & endearing as Jenny. She's lovely in everything, but her most favourites are Mili, Koshish & Abhimaan. Abhi maan seems to be her & Big B's IRL story & that's just sad. I vote for her because being married to Big B must be the most exhausting, annoying, delusional job ever.



Rekha's favourites are Khoon Bhari Mang, Biwi Ho To Aisi, Umrao Jaan & Zubeida. Everyone raved about Karisma & Manoj & Ofc they were excellent! But I felt audience/critics spoke less about Rekha'a acting & more about how beautiful & regal she looked as the elder Maharaani which Ofc, she did, but her nuances, her very subtle, sly manipulative character all wrapped up in silks, French chiffon & Indian gold, diamonds was a TREAT to watch!!! Her betrayal only comes forth in the climax & up until then we are led to believe she is a selfless elder queen who has resigned herself to her fate of being "replaced" (what she clearly must've felt after Zubeida's marriage to the Maharana) but the climax.. When the plane crashes & burns & she tilts her to the side to look at the man standing behind her.. That is when we realise that she was playing a 'long con' with her husband & Zubeida.. That she is the one who manipulated & manuevered Zubeidaa to the plane, that she never had any intention of boarding that small aircraft, it was all a plan to ensure that Zubeidaa & the Maharaana board it.. That was IMO, Rekha'a finest scene in Zubeidaa! Jaya B is Ofc, most under-rated but in a different way, so is Rekha. She's not only Beauty & Bizarre IVs looo l, she's also a very good actress. ⭐️

Lolita: I liked it when it first released. Except the climax b/c I was crying inconsolably when Shah died & people at the theatre thought I was insane lool but I was only 13 in my defence.. Over time I think it's pretty regressive what with the whole Kanta Ben thing but I do enjoy all the Saif bits.. He was adorable in it. I wish I had a male friend like him. 😳
