Because India doesnt have enough movie theaters to accommodate 2 big releases at the same time. Even with one big movie and one small movie, both movies will suffer as nowadays the first 2 weeks decide the fate of every movie.

India needs 8000-9000 theaters to give wide release to 2 big movies at the same time, but there are not enough screens as of now.

Its like either due to lack of available seats or personal reasons, if someone misses a movie in first 2 weeks, they dont get a chance to catch up later.

SRK: We have two reasons (for not releasing Raees with Sultan). One is, me and Salman spoke about it that big films have their level release wise. They should get released in at least 3500 to 4000 theatres at one time. We all have faced it at certain point of time that two big films came together and did not get the desired theatrical release. This is quite a big loss for the budget of the film. Till the time we have eight to nine thousand theatres for release of two big films, this cannot happen," he said.

"Second part was, we were still working on it and it was injured. I have still some portions to shoot for a day. But the film is ready. We thought of an alternate date in this year. But some other big film was coming then," added the 'Dilwale' actor.

Don't know what people are laughing about. 😕 SRK has clashed the most number of times and will do so again next Jan. Don't think SRK cares about hits and flops anymore (I mean yes he does but just not as much as he used to). He is more concerned about delivering striking performances. Fan might have flopped but his acting was superb! Hopefully he will deliver another amazing performance in Raes and the dwarf film he is doing with Kitty Kat. As a fan, I don't even care if he only delivers flops for the remainder of his career...just keep giving me awesome performances Shah.

That's because he has no other option left now please😆 IMO it's the other way around. No one wants to clash with Aamir or Salman. Shah proved it in Salman's case😆

And don't ask me about Salman, i'm not his fan or hater to know much about him yaar.
To talk about Aamir, he had released Talash on a non-holiday which earned well. 😳
