She has a very romantic image..The characters she plays are always stronger than the male..either socially,mentally ,emotionally or even physically.Yet almost always she is the first to fall in love.

Her last two films Tamasha and BM enhanced the image of selfless love.

Initially she faltered over her break up with RK..later she took the high ground..and came out as the bigger person,while her ex changed his earlier stand and started getting bitchy.

Her natural affinity to harp on the break up was to keep herself in news and to milk it to the highest degree but surely that didn't slipped her into depression. She broke up long back with Ranbir probably in 2008 or so and she had the depression issue in 2014 when she was dating Ranveer. So these two are not linked surely.

well if am to believe her.she said in that interview her world crashed.her heartbreak
made her fail to focus on her career.she choose bad scripts.slipped into depression
slowly as both fronts she took heavy beating.bt she fought out of it.won the battle by
resurrecting her career.n would like to help the others like her etc.i happened to have read it.
n stated it here.as simple as that.

I thought she spoke about the depression she had when she was having hit after hit ... about how on surface she was very successful but very lonely .. not the breakup

Well, in that case, you better check with a doctor, cause your memory is failing you. IF you see her NDTV interview about fight against depression, she clearly mentions that there was no reason to get depressed. She was doing good professionally, and personally at a strong happy place. Still one day she got up n started crying. That is when they recognized the symptoms and sought out professional help.
