However, Hansal has denied the rumor. Not sure if he meant Rajkummar is still on or Sohum Shah is in the movie? 😕

Kangana Ranaut stunned on the ramp for ace designer Tarun Tahiliani last night at the opening show of Lakme Fashion Week. The actress, after wrapping up the show rushed to the airport, as she was leaving for USA, where her next film Simran would be shot.

The paparazzi spotted Kangana at the airport as she was leaving for America. Looking lovely in a long blue white dress, Kangana strutted through the airport as she waved to the media.

Simran, directed by Hansal Mehta, stars Kangana Ranaut as Praful Patel, a Gujarati girl.

Kangana Ranaut flies off to USA for two month shoot of Simran'

The actress had gone to USA to attend workshops few weeks ago and the pictures were shared on social media.

Kangana Ranaut was last seen in 'Katti Batti'.

Mumbai: Kangana Ranaut has not had a release this year after her film Katti Batti' released in 2015. She has, however, wrapped up the shooting of Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon' opposite Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan and the film will release early next year. 2017 will be a busy year for her as another of her release, Hansal Mehta's Simran' is also slated to release.

The actress had gone to USA to attend workshops for the film few weeks ago and pictures from her trip along with Mehta had made its way to the internet. Kangana has now set off for a full-fledged schedule for the film in USA and was snapped at the airport as she departed for the trip. The schedule is set to be for two months.

'Simran' will be shot in California and other parts of the USA. Reportedly, the film sees Kangana as a Gujarati housekeeper. Her character is of an ambitious girl who gets into the world of crime and the film is reportedly a story about a bank robber.

I absolutely love her. I'm so happy that she's finally getting her due :) Hope success kisses her feet. She used to get mocked, made fun of her, no one took her seriously, I still remember that KWK episode how rude & mean Anil Kapoor & Sanjay were towards her. Now she has slapped on everyone's face through her achievements & success 👏 No wonder certain fangroups hate & insecure of her success 😃 I love how she tackles criticism who tries to pull her down! Being an outsider she survived so long with no godfathers, khans or backup of big banners & producers. Admire her spirit 😳 She has 3 big releases next year I'm damn sure She'll get 1 NA out of these 3 😉 Mark my word When She'll retire from work Kangana will end up having most number of national awards ⭐️ She's on the way to carve a niche for herself just like Vidya Balan, Tabu, Smita Patil & Shabana Azmi & will be regarded as one of those actresses behind changing the face of Hindi film heroines 😎 👍🏼

On another note, I am quite worried about this movie. Not doubt kangana will blow us away with her acting, but I'm worried about how commercially viable will this film be, or more accurately will people like it? Because from all I'm seeing of Hansal mehta's work, all his work is VERY close to reality and most of all very dark and even depressing to an extent. I have nothing against films being very close to reality, but I do get worried when the film's tone is completely dark and not in a dramatic theater way, rather in a realistic way like his work "citylights." I think audiences need some type of humor, even if it's dark humor, or some sign of hope or light to watch such movies. Just worried about that! Other than that, the film will obviously be good because hansal mehta as a director always delivers quality. Just putting this out there, it has been bugging me for a while. lol.

But, I miss kangana's work, she's been gone too long. I'm cursing vishal here for pushing rangoon to 2017. UGH! Can't wait for that movie!
