I'm going to ignore the lineage part cuz it sounds weird. I'm guessing she means despite where he comes from and the pressure he has to carry the "legacy" he still has his own identity and his own personality.

But I like the rest. She likes the normalcy and always likes things real. I don't think she's ever said it was a perfect marriage--I remember reading quotes a few years back when she said he annoys her at times and she annoys him too but they made up and hinted that makeup sex is good. 😆 But she ended with her long time friend, which worked out well. She's extremely lucky to have found a well-behaved man that respects her a lot more than her previous BFs did. She's extremely Type A and he's the opposite yet it works. If she wanted to marry into showbiz I can't think of a better guy despite his career sort of tanking. At least he doesn't have any ego about his wife being more successful than he is. I totally marry a guy like that too.

For sure, he is the perfect husband. He seems like he loves her, care about her and maybe does not care the fact that she is more successful than him

@bold - why is this a big deal for this forum?

It talks about 21st century but pretty orthodox in it's views.

I have number of cases close to me, where wife earns more than husband. No one's bats an eye-lid. In fact, I think these men I know are least insecure about it.

But it's the female members here who highlights this more successful thing everywhere. Why does it matter is beyond me?

Perhaps this forum just has modern outlook. No one really applies it in their life. Just modern kapde, modern fashion & modern life style. Vichaar to wahi 17th century wale hi hai sabke.

PS - not talking about you particularly Terenaina. But I have observed this 'more successful' would come up in every thread AB Jr. related.

And what is there to mind if your wife is more successful than you?

Do wives mind when their husband is more successful then them?

TBH it should not be...if Aish and him have developed a system that works for them, then no one else should really butt in about it

What's mentioned around IF about this guy is that he doesn't look remotely happy in his life at all. Hence his status as the less-earner keeps being brought up, as digs to Aish. Reality is, if be made less and looked less miserable in life, then less people would bring up that point

That's what I call breaking news

So Bahu finally realized something after long and thought to declare it.
2 things which she revealed were not any secret.

Side effect of giving flops.

Lol she did harp onto his lineage but dignity, silent aloofness etc are concepts that appeal & attract Ash most. She feels B Jr has that b/c he's the Bachchan heir. I do think she loves him even more after her daughters birth. Whatever it started off being, she does love him now.

@bold - that's even more bizarre. Her being more successful than her hubby is a dig at her? Bravo!

And I think AB Jr. have been fine till recently. Check HNY promotions. I enjoyed him in CNWK the most. These constant bullshit of less successful has bogged him down. The guy was fine but our rigid society & stupid journalism didn't let him be one.

no big deal but I have a friend who works all the time and her husband just stay at home. I would want a husband working just like me, not someone I'm supporting. Just my opinion. But in big b Jr. case, their family is rich and Aish is lucky to be part of a legacy family like this with an honest husband who don't look at other women
