Since when did freedom of speech mean you can threaten people! There are parties out there that have stated they'll beat him up! You have every right to state your opinion on the joke he made , you find it crass..say so , you think it's disrespectful...say so but threatening him with violence ain't freedom of speech. That's something that you could be booked for! Good for Sonam for speaking up. It's good to see her not following the herd mentality out there. Some of these folks who are now giving their holier than thou opinion on this should look at some of their own work and they'll realize how many crass jokes they have cracked in their own movies. How they have no qualms in starring those movies yet will get on a pedestal and preach when it comes to something like this.

She wouldn't support him. And she would make fun of him like she and Punit did to Shoba De. But I don't think she be sending him death threat and asking for his arrest. There's a difference and she's trying to point it out in one of the tweets.

That's why I said I wish she stayed out of it. I don't think he's a funny guy and I personally don't care for that kind of humor, but there's a mob out to arrest him, which is wrong. Disagree with him, make fun of him, don't support him...but I don't think certain types of punishment circulating on twitter is the solution. Hell, they could fire him if they want too.

It's the usual now, no...every week there's a new bandwagon and a new drama...attention seekers have all found a way to spin money by getting a rise out of gullible people who start discussing important societal issues in light of cheap stunts like this, AIB roast, My Choice, the list goes on and on. Aag nahi lage gi toh attention kaise milegi aur paise kaise banenge? What will the news channels fill their airtime with, what will the talking heads/'guest speakers' joining them do with their hours, what will the news agencies print or post?

RSS and their ilk have once again proved what a bunch of idiots they are by reacting just the way Tanmay wanted.

I have absolutely ZILCH sympathy for Tanmay nor do I feel like screaming FOE slogans to "support" him.. Because Tanmay isn't an idiot or a victim. He and AIB know by now (if not at the time of the roast) just what "jokes" or statements trigger what sort of reactions.. For all their braying about freedom, in the end they are a bunch of hypocrites who are manipulative and intuitive enough to know which groups are all about barking (and are hated by the intellectuals anyways) and nothing else and which groups are actually dangerous enough to cause the likes of AIB to pee in their pants, eat the humble pie and ask for apology.

RSS are always going to "lose" because they don't understand stealth and the power of public perceptions..They are bachchas compared to the likes of John Dayals...
