She comes from a different economic strata, doubt she would have done the regular job ever.Might not be ambitious too, have met many who just want to be married early or have kids.

Just personally it's not for me. Also, courtship, marriage and now this..way too soon. But then their life as long as she is , "independent" in making her choices in every way. Good for her.

Also, don't think she would go for a career or something post this. Nope. Unless, she starts her own fashion range or interior designer thing.

@Bold...haven't you hit the nail on the head...especially considering his rumoured infamous control issues where relationships are concerned.

Yup. Exactly that.

In urban as well as rural india, girls belonging to poor and middle class families get married and become mothers before they attain the age of 18.

I have studied in cities like Mumbai and Hyderabad and lot of my friends have got married at a young age.But the good thing about them is even after marriage, they would continue their studies. Most of my friends are doing good jobs too.

I don't understand why people here are making a big issue about it.22 is a perfect age for motherhood. If Mira was less than 20 then it would not have been a right age for motherhood. But at the age of 22,she is an adult, not a child.

I would call such members completely ignorant who feel 22 is not a right age for marriage and motherhood.Just because upper middle class and rich people don't get married before 25,that doesn't mean it's an abnormal thing.India doesn't consist of only rich and upper class people.

Yes Mira belongs to the rich class but she is an adult too,not a baby like many members make her out to be. 🤢

There is not a right age for marriage or for having kids. There are people who are years older and still not ready to have kids and there are people younger who wants to have kids. I think it's good to have kids young because they'll grow with you and your be like a friend

Actually lot of celebs don't get married before 30 so may be that's why some members feel she is a child bride. 😆

But lot of indian gals get married and become mothers at an early age so I don't know why people are making a hue and cry over it.

Lol. Nothing to do with being ignorant. It depends on the environment they have grown up in. It is as simple as that. The college where she has graduated from, most of the population there would consider early twenties to be still 'kids', who are taking baby steps on how to deal with the real world. Some members might have grown up in a similar setting and hence carry a similar thought process. Not all of them are filthy rich. Even a lot of average middle class Joes these days don't get married so early. So no, it's not a common practice as you are making it out to be. Priorities are changing, therefore perceptions too are different.

What's the big deal anyway. It's a random discussion and nobody is saying anything to the couple's face. Don't know why people need to start commenting on members financial background and all that. I have personally seen people get married at a real young age but such incidents are rare, so it initially shocks me too. But then you relaize that there are different strokes for different folks and move on. Simple.
