Tanmay Bhatt's Insulting Video on Lata & Sachin Backfires, Receives Backlash from Fans

AIB comedian Tanmay Bhatt recently made headlines for his inspiring video on feminism. But the fame was short-lived, as in his latest video, Tanmay can be seen making fun of legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar with his mediocre jokes.

In a new video posted on his official Facebook page, page by captioning it as, "Sachin vs Lata Civil War (I make such nonsense on my Snapchat - follow me there - ID: Thetanmay) (Also I obvously love Lata and Sachin, just having some fun)."

Tanmay is seen roasting the revered Bharat Ratna awardees all in the name of humour and using a Snapchat face swap filter. In series of insults, Tanmay has imitated Sachin and hurled swears at cricketer Virat Kohli and took a dig at Lata ji.

Some of the punchlines used in the video are:

"Phuck Virat. No, I'm very respectful for Virat. He is very good with bat and ladies."

"Lata tai namaskar. Very respectfully I'd like to add that you are 5000 years old."

"Your (Lata) face looks like someone has kept you in water for eight days."

"Just look at you. Jon Snow also died, so you (Lata) should also die."

The comedian's humour didn't go down well with fans and the post was bombarded with negative feedbacks. Tanmay's video backfired to a level, where he has been at the receiving end of facing backlash from Bollywood celebrities who took to Twitter to slam his act.

However, the standup comedian was least affected by the negative slamming and tweeted, "When you guys write about me tomorrow can you please use my snapchat ID - it's thetanmay thanks "

he was majorly pulled up twittter once for joking about sexual abuse of children
