I disliked both MOhbatain and K3G

Though I liked KKHH.

always found him too overrated and way too shallow in direction

KKHH was so shallow

K3G was so melodramatic

KANK was just a mess

don't even get me started on SOTY

yes those movies worked coz of other factors too..

i know many will say that SRK-kajol (if that strong a couple) would have made dilwale work..but that was exceptionally bad to be saved by any one..but given even an average concept or direction..they can fill life into it..what they did with KKHH or K3G

karan's deficiency at directing becomes blatantly obvious when he deals with newer/less experienced lot..the fact that alia and varun showed vast improvement in their 2nd movie itself and karan couldn't make them act peanuts..shows it

There are a few directors whose films everyone watches either when it releases or when it comes on DVD..but most have seen all of them whether they like them or not. KJo is one of them.

Kjo can't make movies like kkhh and k3g anymore, none of his recent films hav been able to live up to those movies

I think it may also be becuase his dad was alive wen he made those films, his dad guided him whilst he was directing them

Nope he can't and he won't ever again more likely than not. Deep inside he knows it too not that it'll stop him directing. The off chance that he'll pull off another kkhh or kkkg and the intro of good looking new comers will keep people coming to view his offerings and he is smart enough to not churn em out too close together.

Karan has explored foreign influence desi culture in his films. He was inspired from Aditya chopra's DDLJ, he was assising adi that time. He couldn't recreate KKHH kind of spell, k3g was overdose of family sentiments, rest all are forgettable.

I don't think ADHM will be on same level as his debut film.
