What did newbie Arijit do - Insult host of award show, where he was given award. Salman is 25 years senior to him. Forget stardom - Seniority, being Host of award show - Arijit insulted him !! That too on no provokation...

Did his career end there? NO. Did Salman ask everyone to stop working with Arijit? Clearly NO.
All he did was stop working with him. He has full right to stop working with people who he is not comfortable with.

Arijit has a successful career. Why do this nautanki now? For what?

On bold. Do you mean Salman is the head of film industry and those who mock him should be sacked? I am sorry. I would like to presume he is an actor as anybody else, but who earns well (I am leaving the word talent here).

By the way, how has Salman treated his filmy colleagues in Big Boss? He mocked at Bhansali's kind of films saying only Khamoshi was good. (In fact, I started supporting BM initially only because of the insults thrown at Bhansali). He made fun of Juhi Chawla recently saying, he will see if there is any mother's role in his film (when she was looking younger than him in the set). When he says, it's fun. When others say, it is an insult, is it?

This is exactly how Sajid Khan used to do. As a host, he made fun of every guest who received award. When Ashutosh Gowariker's turn came, Ashutosh said "Shut up". Immediately, Sajid started getting angry. Ashutosh served him the same dose. "First I say shut up. Then I say sorry. Will the second one, cancel out the other?".

If you can't take it, don't do it either.

I think Ari was just trying to convey that his song is being nixed. OBVIOUSLY Sally wouldn't have to ask explicitly for that to happen.

IMO he played it safe, ousted Sally yet did it in a way that he seems like a fan. Not the best thing to do. I liked what apparently Mithun did, more.

It is only the first part I disagree with you. (When Salman does it, it's fun. When others do it, it is insult).

But other part, I agree.

The public apology does not look genuine. May be he just want to show people the real reason, if his song is chopped off. Agree, he would have been paid. But any singer not only sings for the pay, he also wants it to be in movie. I don't know what is his intention, a protest or an indirect fight. It is definitely not an apology.

Lastly, I am a Sonu Nigam fan.

GODD whts wrong with Arijit??? 😕 he is doing perfectly fine without singing in salman's films then whts this for?why does he evn need to apologise through OPEN LETTER???😕 and then he writes he "knws the consequences" and whn these "consequences" actually happen he tweets abt taking his words back and again says he knew wht was going to happen 😕

I watched that award function...I personally felt that singers were arrogant. Salman trying to help mithoon with that paper stuck behind his back but mithoon has showed his rude attitude. Same with Arjit...he just couldn't take a simple sarcasm that he looks sleepy...he has to show the 6hr wait frustration to salman.

Arjit is very mean minded and he deserves this from salman. Having said this I am not sAltman fan but I support salman for his anger towards arjit.

There is no need to bring politics everywhere. First Modi is not Mine. Who is he to me? He is PM of this country. I have the right to criticise him, when I find him wrong. Also I have the right to retaliate, if I find him unfairly criticised.

As far Salman, even though I was not impressed with Sultan's trailer, I appreciated his effort. More than that, I don't have emotional investment with any celebrity (love or hatred). Ideologies? May be.
