For me, the statement is a harmless, general one..not to be intellectualised.

I got it the minute I read her full statement which in the title was twisted into an unrecognizable and very demeaning sounding comment.

I've heard this kinda talk so many times from women...I didn't even giv it a second thought...much less translate it to mean it's a selfish, spoilt kid who wants his mom to be a bai. A bai is there 24 hours supposedly to look after the kids security first n foremost, a mom who cannot be there, hires her for that..a kid moreover a small one is NEVER gonna equate his mama with someone who is hired to help out. I don't think any kid thinks of a mom as its servant...she is the one who is always around to love, care for him, throw tantrums around, love him her unconditionally.

Here an actress gets bashed more just for her personal opinions than an actor gets for his real life action/ crimes. 🥱

Its not a question of emotional bonding...that is not time sensitive and can be done even at night by a working mom tucking her kids into bed, reading alongwith them, listening to how their day was and telling them how her day was...

Kajol didnt generalize ALL kids as being selfish, she distinctly mentioned Yug saying he likes to see Mom at home when he gets home from school...not Dad, mind you. 😆

That is the expectation some kids have, particularly boys, for MOM to be near them at all times. Of course when they grow up, they would rather spend time with their friends then.

So Mom, even if shes a working mother, is expected to be home when her kid comes home from school. Its these kind of expectations that puts a mother in a bind. Its a delicate balance so every mother has the right to vent at times. Only she knows what she has to go through to balance these things.

P.S. Why does everything everywhere have to boil down to Salman Khan's crimes especially since this is an unrelated post. Why is the support that he gets used as a defence to defend others. Can people not criticise other actors for their stupid opinions just because Salman's crimes are defended by some😕

Shar: Excellently put! Kajol is so absurdly dumb that this shouldn't be as surprising as it is, but it's amazing to see how much she generalises.

No-one is denigrating the help but it's bizarre to make such a statement because the help, is essentially a paid device. We/parents pay certain people to make our lives easier. Either to come into the house/stay at our houses to render our lives more functional/manageable. To reduce a loving, beautiful bond of motherhood to a nanny-child equation, is totally absurd & completely dumb. 🤡 🤬

Shar: To highlight an actual huge crime to par down the opponents point, obviously, doesn't make any sense to me either but it happens all the time on IF.

Kajol clearly generalised & I've no idea how people can even defend her W*F & bizarre statements but the levels of hypocrisy & delusion run too high on IF.

Because Kajol didnt commit any crime by saying what she felt...thats why...in case you dont get it, thats her opinion...she said I THINK...its because her son demands her presence at home that she thinks all kids must want their moms to be their full time bai/nanny.

She and every mother has the right to vent at times, Im sure many moms have said things like this. She doesnt deserve 12 pages of bashing for speaking what she thinks.

Some members bashing Kajol here for their personal dislike, I dont see them bashing real life crimes on other threads where more serious cases are being discussed.

@Bold...why should she not be bashed, is she some sort of royalty to be worshipped.😲

If she has the right to express her opinions others have an equal right to criticise her for what they believe is a stupid statement. I do not understand this logic about how the 12 pages of bashing is undeserved and preposterous because what may be an innocuous statement for you may not be so for others. Its subjective, you may call it over-reaction or whatever but that is your opinion just like others have their opinion. Should others not state their opinion anymore because some people on the forum have defended even bigger crimes??

If Sonam is called Sodumb and mocked at in every thread for her stupid W*F statements why should Kajol be shown a preferential treatment?? And that to because she spoke what she thought, well does not every person think what they speak, but yes only some people actually do think before they speak unlike Kajol.

Oh my goodness, if people are gonna take a statement like this and say Yug is being projected as selfish and the precious mother child bond is being under threat because a mother of a child said this..

I can only imagine what happens in the work force or in the big bad world outside where people don't expect a harmless statement to be twisted into all sorts of deep meanings a child in incapable of thinking.

Life will be one big bad place where everyone even yur own mum is out to get you!
