Out of the poll I'm going to go with Madhuri only because I haven't really witnessed the likes of everyone before her time other than maybe Sridevi. Madhuri is such an all-rounder. She does so much more than acting. She lights up every character she plays on screen with her grace, elegance, and powerful acting.

A few other actresses that have defined BW over the years: Rani, Karisma, Sridevi, Vidya, Anushka, and now Deepika.

I gave a lot of thought and am gonna go with Waheeda Rehman

Actress who had films like Guide, Pyaasa, Neel Kamal, Chaudvin Ka Chand, Khamoshi and Teesri Kasam

And had continued her work post her phase as a lead actress in films like Lamhe, Chandni, Rang De Basanti and Delhi 6

Most loved song in Bollywood belongs to her - Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanah Hai

Followed By Sridevi, Nargis, Jaya Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit

Wonderful list of actresses... But I will go with SRIDEVI ! ⭐️

Her diverse work both Hindi and South accentuated with huge success is unparalleled. 👏

She was born to ACT! 😃

Good selection but my all time favourite will always be Nutan !!! I know the youngsters will not have seen her work but i suggest everyone should. She had the looks, the vivacity and talent. Her range was wide and she could execute the light frothy roles as well as the serious unglamorous ones with equal ease.

She started with films like Paying Guest , Tere ghar ke saamne opposite Dev Anand ..their duet ' Aah chhod do aanchal" still mesmerises ! Then there was Dilli ka thug with Kishore Kumar ...the first actress in Bollywood to don a swimsuit.

Later she moved into serious cinema ...it is said Bimal Roy waited for her to take up " Bandini" and declared he would abandon the project if she declined. Her portrayal of Kalyani who murders for love is an act preserved in the archives of Hindi cinema. It was a path breaking film in those days.

So Nutan it is for me.

Madhuri Dixit..such a complete package she is..she has this amazing screen presence. She's beautiful,acts decent,her expressions are to die for,a fab dancer and above all her personal life has always been non controversial (which def affects my likeness towards an actor)
