Woh aur bhi BESTI waali Baat ho jayegi if SULTAN's footfalls crosses 3.50 Cr & more celebrations for us coz TICKETS Selling more than Highest Grosser is no less feature.

When will Aamir Create or Break Salman's Records?

1. 2 Decades back to back Highest Grosser (1980-89 & 1990-99)

2. Century's Highest Grosser - 1990-99 - HAHK

3. Giving back to back 10 films with Figures i mention here

4. Giving back to back 5 blockbusters in a row.

5. Salman has 4 films having 100+ Cr Distributor Share, Aamir has 2.

6. Salman's BB's Footfalls

Even with Dangal, lot's are at Stake, let's see what Aamir achieves, iss baar Hirani bhi nahi hai bachaane ke liye 😆

No one will remember these BO numbers after 50 years.Only performance of an actor/actress matters.People still remember Raj Kapoor,Rajesh Khanna,Amitabh Bachchan,Rekha,Waheeda Rehman,Madhubala,Meena Kumari etc because of their performances. No one cares how much their movies at that time or if the movies were hit/flop.

Sholay is more popular today rather than Pyaasa, while the later one is having performance. Rajesh Khanna is remembered for his streak of hit films, 15 to be precise, which gave him stardom on a diff. level, same goes with Amitabh having long list of Big HITS, ppl will hardly remember him for Anand as much they remember him from Sholay or Zanjeer kind of films.

This performance will be remembered is new hype created from few years thanks to multiplex culture which has given boast to content cinema, while content cinema was earlier also in the form of films like saraansh, arth, but ppl don't remember those, they remember those big hits from that time.

Why should he bother trying to act when his movies will do the business at BO regardless
For me his best performance till date was in Tere Naam followed by BB...he's capable of good performance... but like I said does he even need to bother...

There used to be a BW star called Rajendra Kumar who was also called Jubliee Kumar for his midas touch at BO. He had 6-7 films running in the cinemas for more than 25 weeks at the same time. He was never known for exemplary acting skills though he wasnt exactly very bad. How many remember him though after fifty years when compared to the ones like Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor who were known to be good actors. The records dont stay on. The good work done in films do live on.

His films run for 75 Weeks (JUBLIEE KUMAR), imagine that much no. of weeks, even if khans work together in a film, it won't last 10 weeks, forget 75. That time was different, ppl didn't have other source of entertainment, still this much long weeks his romantic films working on box office was magic.

Between 1959 and 1966, Rajendra Kumar had such a Midas touch that almost any film he touched turned box office gold, and especially from 1963 to 1966, when he was unbeatable with 100 per cent box office success.

Rajendra Kumar was also a man of sound investment sense, and rapidly became one of the richest men in the industry. Even when his flurry of hits came to a sudden halt, the realisation of descent dawned upon him quickly. He moved to supporting roles with quiet grace. Meanwhile, he sold his bungalow to a newcomer named Rajesh Khanna. Rajesh firmly believed that if he managed to buy the house, Jubilee Kumar's success would rub on him too. It's perhaps ironic that Rajesh with his twinkling eyes and the tilt of his head actually repeated the same success, albeit on a grander scale, delivering 15 solo hits without a pause, and became the first superstar of Hindi cinema. Rajesh took away the audience that made Rajendra a star, and thus establishing the fickle nature of fame.
