How do you jump from being pushed out of BW to getting a debut with Pitbull?

Quantico ka toh I don't have much doubt because PC is pretty intelligent, she took up a TV show first to make herself familar with the american audience so that was a pretty good move on her part but the Pitbull collaboration is something that always been fishy for me.
