Ratan singh and Padmavati's love story is interesting,apparently Padmavati was the princess of Srilanka, and Ratnasen heard of her from her bird who was sold to Ratnasen somehow.Then he went to Srilanka as a peasant and their love bbloomed,after Ratnasen revealed his identity they got married.Ratnasen had other wives also though before marrying her.I feel SLB would love to work on this angle too.

The first wife has a role in the first portions, she is jealous as her husbands becomes mesmerized by Padmini's beauty descriptions from her bird, and tries to stop him from going to her.Later she has no part but SLB might show her as in interesting angle like Kahibai.Alauddin's fav wife was also very jealous of padmini and tried to stop him from going to her too,and said he would neevr be able to get her, in return Alauddin had said if he succeeds to bring Padmini here, the fav wife will have to serve as her maid.🤢I've read all these in Rajkahini by Abanindranath Thakur, a collection of rajput folktales and stories.

A little Google search tells me the existence of Padmavati is not proven yet? Anyway the story is dramatic and would make a good plot for a typical tragedy filled SLB film.

I am eager to see how SLB will capture the beauty that is Rajasthan, Ashutosh could'nt do justice to it as JA had very few outside scenes.And chittorgarh fort is such a beautiful and well crafted fort, almost invincible.Wanna see Alauddin's fort too have very little knowledge about sultani architecture

DP will do good to I feel,Padmavati was Srilankan and her dusky skins will be really good for the role.But Aish is so gorgeous in Rajput atirres that I wish its her.

I can already imagine the trails Padmini might been put through due to the jealous wives of the respective men in her life.

But I'm nervous to see how SLB might end up handling Alauddin-Padmini-Ratan angle. He has the habit of making the heroine pursue the hero in his movies like in BM, HDDCS, RL,etc.

If he make sPadmini persue Alauddin🤢rajputs will tear him apart.Padmini was said to be madly in love with Ratnasen , on the padmavat poem the part where she is sitting as a bride just before her marraige was in our bengali syllabus, and she was lovesick to such extent, that she felt she is Radha he is Kanha they're in no way aaprt just one soul something like that.but Ratnasen was the one who persued her, heard about her,then ran to her country to see her and marry her.I do'nt think Alauddin's wife ever could meet Padmini😆But Ratnasen's wife could have a role like kashibai or bitchy sauten
