Trade pundits were desperate to find the answer to the millions dollar question: BO Ka Don Kaun? Especially since both Shah Rukh and Salman have considerable clout over the hustings.
But the picture was clear from day one itself with the Indian viewer displaying no confusion while anointing the winner.
For, if Shah Rukh Khan's 'Don' garnered 90% collections, in it's opening weekend, Salman Khan's 'Jaanemann' set alarm bells ringing with a mere 40% tickets sales. Time to press the panic button in the Salman camp? Not really. For by the end of the first week, there was a reversal of fortunes. 'Don' registered a drop in ticket sales, while 'Jaanemann' began to pick up, but only marginally.
