Priyanka Chopra Is Talented No Doubt. But Let's Take A Moment To Applaud Her Super Talented PR Team

Priyanka Chopra. Just the name oozes star power. Her presence on the global entertainment scene is unmissable. Our beloved PeeCee has, over just the last few years, transformed into an international icon of style and celebrity.

And no one can deny that while many may have dabbled with Hollywood and disappeared, Priyanka really is that one star that put Indian talent in entertainment on the world map.

Or at least, so it seems.

But is she really worth all that fuss?

Or has she simply been blessed with an angel by her ear telling her exactly what to do and what not to do? What projects to take up, where to go, what to wear and what to say? The real world calls this angel a PR team. And we believe that PeeCee has the best one there is.

I mean c'mon, she's made career decisions in the far away past that make us marvel at just how she turned into the dazzling star of today.

Believe me, similarly questionable career decisions were made in the not-so-far-away past as well. Anyone remember Krisshh 3?

It really makes you stop and think that maybe, just maybe, she is exactly like every other reasonably flawed actor in Bollywood, who at some point or the other, has made some seriously flawed choices. It almost makes it unbelievable that the same woman is now all over Hollywood.

Which begs the question, is it only the star that should be credited for their public image?

Let's not forget that PeeCee's now impeccable sense of fashion was for reals preceded by several years of *ahem, what's a polite way to put this* figuring out what works for her.

But now it's quite the task finding even a single bad picture of her on the entire world wide web. 'Cause who wouldn't rock everything from the Vogue cover shoot to the Oscars' red carpet with a team of people dedicated to making you look utterly flawless?

And as for her delightful charm and wit, how much of that can you realistically say is completely spontaneous?

Why are we forgetting that she, just like any star, has an entire staff of media savants telling her exactly what each of her interviews and public interactions should comprise of? Yep. That time she adorably went on to teach Salman's Mujhse Shaadi Karogi 'towel dance' to an American TV show host..? All carefully and geniusly, I might add, scripted.

Chopra's journey to international fame has really been blindingly meteoric, and it was no accident.

She brought us the cringe-worthy, albeit hawt AF, music videos 'In My City' and 'Exotic' and her stint with singing did pretty much fall flat with the audiences. But that didn't take away one bit from you thinking distinctly of her as an international star, what with the involvement of big names like Will.I.Am and Pitbull.

And then 'Quantico' happened.

Let's calm down and really think about it for a second, people. How actively do you think ABC wanted the lead on their show about FBI agents to be an ambiguously ethnic woman with an unsure accent, who has a track record that boasts of little to no earth-shattering acting skills?

Source: ScoopWhoop

Her bagging 'Quantico' was no big, happy, international coincidence. Trust me, it was PeeCee's PR team taking the right calls and talking to the right people at the right time.

At the end of the day, no international primetime network would say 'no' to the attention of the drama-loving billions that we Indians are. And objectively speaking, that is exactly what PeeCee is to ABC - the answer to more than quadrupling their audience.

PeeCee's now pretty much rocking the world's TV and cinema scene, and there's no stopping her.

She's everywhere you look, people. Appearances on Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon's shows, among several other American talk shows and award shows - not just the Screen Actor's Guild and the People's Choice Awards, but even the effin' Oscars! She's now all set for Baywatch and God knows what else.

And these are all steps in a carefully crafted plan to get the world to sit the f*ck up and notice her. And as God is my witness, it's a bloody good plan.

Priyanka Chopra is basically out there, representing modern India on a global platform. And we're simply trying to ask you this - how much does all this have to do with her actual talent? Could a Deepika Padukone or a Kareena Kapoor or any other actor for that matter, have been at the exact same global stage in their careers if they had the same management? In fact, it may not be far-fetched to say that they too, are now revamping their PR strategies to follow in PeeCee's glowing footsteps.

That's the magic of PR. The silent stage managers of the complete spectacle of a show that is any star's career.

Admittedly, PeeCee's is one show that has definitely gone platinum. And none of us can confidently deny the role of high-level PR sorcery in this phenomenon.

The opinions expressed in this article are those of the writer and do not reflect those of ScoopWhoop.

This person clearly doesn't understand the difference between a PR team and a manager. Priyanka herself is quite involved with both aspects. everyone has a PR and management but everyone isn't Priyanka Chopra! All the butt-hurt people in India need to chill out! the world is loving PC and Indians should be happy someone has gone so mainstream, instead they're trying to pull her down... then they complain India doesn't get global recognition. đŸ€Ș

More power to Priyanka and her international team (Anjula-Manager & Dana-PR)! they're killing it! 👏

Kudos to PC for always taking risks and trying new things. One actress that always reinvents herself and pushes boundaries. She's super hardworking!

Ps. The author picking on early 2000s fashion to now is just ridiculous... everyone used to dress like that! people can't grow, evolve, change in 15 years? this writer clearly can't handle PC's success for some reason... so bitter!

I have only read the bolded parts of the article but have figured out what all the unbolded parts could be.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and so is the author of this article (?). But then again, eveyone is entitled to make mistakes and learn from them. How can you improve on something if you haven't done it wrong first? Every time someone hits it big "critics" come out with 'she or he did this film in the past, how clever can she or he really be? It's all just the PR team'.

Well, news flash, marketing departments and PR departments exist for a reason.

So, yes Priyanka did make "mistakes" in choosing those films highlighted in this article but then that's what's made her be more careful.

In the end, I really don't get the point of this piece. Priyanka has the best PR team in the world? Maybe they should call up that PR team and congratulate them for their service to the world considering she is "an international star". Please write something worth reading. Had it been an analysis of Priyanka's acting or singing talent or lack of, it would have been an interesting piece to read but all this article gives off is the pure-hatred vibe. Not even dislike but hate.

if PC shudnt be credited for her success so shud noone else be for theirs if PR is only d success mantra..At d end of d day, it is her talent dat got her where she is now...Getting opportunity is one thing bt reaping d benefits out of it is another..not everyone who gets it is able to prove themselves bt she did

Basically the article is praising PeeCee's international PR, so that all the BW divas spend all their money to hire the same PR.
It's a PR work for a PR.

Basically this piece is the equivalent of wannabe PR aficionados on this forum, who are delusional enough to believe they've cracked the code behind every article especially of those actors who they want to malign.
Spin daactars take note. 😆
