Director Ram Madhvani's biopic Neerja, which stars Sonam Kapoor as the 23-year-old flight attendant who sacrificed her life trying to save hijacked passengers at Karachi airport in 1986, has continued its stellar run in Indian cinemas.

The Fox Star Studios production rang up 67.75 crore ($10 million) in its first three weeks in India and more than $3.7 million internationally including $1.6 million in the U.S.Still playing on 624 screens in its fourth weekend in India, Neerja faced little opposition from Teraa Surroor , director Shawn Arranha's action thriller produced by T-Series and HR Musik, which was mauled by most critics and fetched 6.46 crore ($962,000) in its first three days on about 1,000 screens.
