Neerja's family is quite hurt that she's creating such a big ruckus as she was one of Neerja's friend. There is no doubt, everyone did their part and their duty well on that flight but fact is Neerja was the head purser. Neerja was the one who lost her life saving people. These accounts are not from today or yesterday, they are from 1986. There's an account from one of the kids who was saved by Neerja. The official Justice of U.S website shows the account of when they had one of the terrorists on trail, even talks about Neerja and her bravery. The movie has been made now but stories about Neerja have been in the papers and in the news since 1986. Why speak up now? Why not speak up when she was given all those awards? Why not speak up when she was given the Ashok Chakra? Seems like someone just wants a little fame for themselves.
