That's super cool. I was a bit disappointed with the interview...I felt he held himself back. Maybe that was due to the interview being more on the international level

No, he's definitely holding himself back. And it's absolutely tragic. There are so many areas where Shah has curbed himself. And it makes me so angry.

He has so much to offer apart from being a celebrity. But unfortunately because of all the controversies and media hoopla surrounding his every word over the past few years, he has completely given up trying to share his ideas and wisdom. Oh well, it's the world's loss.

One of the best things about him is he doesn't act differently when he is talking to foreign media. Whether it was his appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show or this or The Golden Globe appearance or his numerous other interviews with the foreign media, he's exactly like he's here. Just being his charming self without even trying.

I think it depends on how you look at it. I'm all for content driven movies and there have been phases even before where a lot of content driven movies have worked but Bollywood has always had a star system just like Hollywood. I think it's kind of essential too if you look at the bigger picture. And it's not just Bollywood, I feel like that's how things work when it comes to other fields as well. People will go out to see a Sachin bat even if he were playing a Ranji match. The same sort of applies here. It doesn't mean content isn't important. It just I guess means that the star system is a huge reason why Bollywood is still far ahead of Hollywood when it comes to the domestic market.

So so true. SRK is probably one of the most intelligent actors if not the most intelligent actor currently and it's sad that thanks to the media he has to watch what he says. He is not someone who talks through his hat, he talks sense and it's sad that the basic freedom to speak his mind has been curbed.

Be it SRK's mock arrogance or his tongue in cheek humour, everything has been twisted and misinterpreted to suit the needs of people who want a masaledaar headline or story.
He has often said that people misinterpret his sense of humour. Thanks to that he has started giving serious interviews. SRK used to enjoy giving interviews earlier when he could joke around now it looks like he gives interviews like as if it's a chore.
