If by romance you mean the over-the-top mess he did in the 2000s then god, hopefully not, we’ve suffered enough. But he is capable of something better, more subtle. Give me the kind of romance like Raincoat or Three of Us any day and pair him with someone like Vidya or Kareena? now that I’d watch.

Now he will look good n chak de India type roles.

In his mind he can still play those maybe.

Sushmita or Deepika can fit for JLO's role. Even Kajol too. Don't know about Anushka's dance skills, but she will also fit for that as their relationship turns into respectful beautiful relationship. Sushmita will be as good as a teacher because her role was similar in MNH.

They have great chemistry with SRK and Kajol is iconic on-screen soulmate for him but than JLO character someone who is damn good in ballroom dancing they need to do Waltz Tango Rumba type of dance forms and these actress can't even dance. JLO was excellent in her dancing . Chemistry with SRK i trust them 1000% but dancing they lack in that department

The highlight of Richard & JLO relationship in the film was that they had that attraction and sexual tension b/w them but instead turning it into an affair they gave it a beautiful relationship based on respect for each other and inspiring each other. I guess their one intimate sequence was the Tango Dance the final practice lesson before the competition. Whatever was between them it was shown through the dance in that moment the intimate Tango dance. SRK will nail it. Richard & JLO had one hell of sexy chemistry they look super hot together even though with the age gap and they did not end up together in the film but the chemistry was there that, one can feel the heat of their chemistry. But than its a love based on respect and inspiration

I want Gayatri Joshi (Swadesh) to play his wife.

I don't think she is acting anymore though i would love her to work with SRK again. She had such a sweet chemistry with SRK in Swades

Bagban's remke or Cheeni Kum's remake are also good options for SRK.

Baghban was beautiful but too emotional and Cheeni Kum was something different. Good option though

He should now do character roles or whatever they are called . I still feel he has been underutilized as an actor

He was cringy and filmi even in youth days in romantic roles, he just got lucky by attaching himself with two biggest banners of that time YRF and Dharma.

Else Salman and Aamir were the better real OG romantic boys and chocolate heroes of their time with their heart touching cute romantic films where they played lover boys in organic and genuinely endearing ways, much better than a filmi plastic hamming arm spreading overrated SRK.

Kajol is a soulmate for him not only onscreen but also offscreen. I have seen their videos of cute friendship and they are wonderful. About her dancing skills, don't agree with you because I have her ball dancing skills in Baazigar's song (Chupana bhi nahi aata and Title Song), Janam Janam (Dilwale) and the famous rain dance sequence (KKHH).

Agreed. Though she has played a deglamorized and simple girl in Swades, she can look glamorous and sexy too. Have seen her in a glamorous avatar with SRK in the Pan Masala ad. she looks different in the real life. Also, I want Suchitra Krishnamurti for wife's role. She was good in ball dancing in Kabhi Haa Kabhi Naa.

Well, I read the story of 'Shall We Dance' on Wikipedia. I realized that Rab ne Bana Di Jodi is loosely based on this story.

So, this is a age gap love story, that's why I wanted Deepika or Anushka. Anushka's pair with SRK is my personal favorite. They share that respect and a beautiful bonding in their friendship so that's why I wanted her for JLO's role.

How About Urmila Mathondkar or Madhuri Dixit for JLO's role? Both are good dancers.
