Aanand L Rai's next movie also set in UP

Set in Meerut, this will be the filmmaker's fourth film to be shot in the state.

Director Aanand L Rai's next film is also going to be set in the Hindi heartland. Rai continues his romance with Uttar Pradesh, with his next film being set in Meerut. While the 'Tanu Weds Manu' series starring Kangana Ranaut and Madhavan was based in Lucknow and Kanpur, the Dhanush-Sonam-starrer 'Raanjhanaa' was set in Banaras. And like the past three films, this one too is being written by Lucknowite Himanshu Sharma.



There have been reports that the film will have Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. SRK had also mentioned in passing his desire to work with the 'Tanu Weds Manu' director. Quiz Himanshu about it and he says, "Talks are on, nothing is on dotted lines yet... but yes, I am working on a script which I wish from my heart that Shah Rukh sir may like. The story of the film is set in Meerut."

The movie will go on floors sometime later this year and will be shot in Meerut and around Delhi.
