Anand does seem to have a contract with Eros. At the same time Shahrukh is still very much in talks to do this movie. He obviously must be aware of this contract yet he's still attached to it which indicates that perhaps he will act in it despite Eros producing it. If Eros has already made this announcement then perhaps we'll see Shahrukh working with Eros again after Ra.One, where he didn't have a smooth equation with them so he must have loved the idea a whole lot along with the prospect of working with Anand if he's indeed on the verge of finalising this .

When it comes to co leads , I feel he's one of the few actors out there who has always worked with a range of people. I mean even during the 90's he was working with Divya , Juhi , Madhuri , Sonali , Raveena, Kajol. Yes there are some female actors who he has done more movies with but I think that has a lot to do with the director , the script and in some cases the fact that people loved those jodis. I think he has worked the most with Juhi yet somehow people remember him the most with Kajol or that's how I feel despite them working on only 7 or eight films together till now. They're considered an iconic jodi hence at times it feels like they have worked a whole lot when they really haven't if you look at their careers till now. I mean she has done quite a few movies with her husband but people hardly seem to remember those. The same goes for Rani and Aishwarya. Rani did KKHH, KANK (that Kajol refused to do ) , Chalte Chalte ( Aishwarya was on board initially) and Paheli with him yet people remember those movies vividly as they loved the chemistry he shared with her. Aishwarya did Josh (where she played his sister ) , Mohabattein (where she did a guest role ) and Devdas yet people till this date want to see them together on screen as each one of those movies made an impact. Deepika has only done three films with Shahrukh but it seems like a whole lot as they were appreciated in every movie. I frankly would love to see him with Sonam or Anushka (it's been awhile since JTHJ) if the role in Anand's movie is something that suits either one of them. Like quite a few here , I have my preference of who I want to see him with in that movie but ultimately if the director wants Deepika then I don't think Shahrukh would really have an issue. They seem to be on okay terms at least if you go by Deepika's "gushing" tweet...lol!

i think anushka will be good

^I love her and loved them in RNBJ and JTHJ so I'm all good with them being on board for Anand's next if that happens. Anushka though has her plate full or at least it seems like it. She's filming Sultan right now , there is still work left on ADHM and then apparently she has some of her own production's movies in the pipeline as well so not sure how she would be able to come on board especially if Shahrukh and Anand are indeed wanting to start this after he is done with Gauri's next. This is obviously hypothetical scenarios till now as no official word has been said about him signing till now, he has just been in "talks" so I guess I'm jumping the gun here a little bit 😆
