Protest excuse is just a nonsense.
In first week they had more screen than BM and they lost the battle after weekend. BM was not some master piece but it was offering something different. People preferred to watch decorated set than flying cars. People won't watch shit if they have a choice. Even without clash it was not possible to make it blockbuster. Hardly clean hit was possible in solo release.

King Kong should come out from his wonder land, grow a spine and accept his defeat gracefully.

There were protest against BM too. I wonder how BM was not affected by it ?. Salman's tweet in favor some memon guy didn't affect BB, there were so many dhongi babas and babies whos religious sentiments were hurt during PK time.

Excuses toh aap de rahe ho kabse Why Dilwale flopped in India. 🤣 PK and BB ke time bhi protests hue they but their didn't failed like Dilwale. And even agter coming with all power still Dilwale is not in top 3 in overseas leave India not even in top 10 also. 🤣
BM swept Dilwale on BO thats the bottom line qith huge over 45 crs+ gap. 😆

Um...protest against BM died on the first day itself! Not that the protests against it was right but nowhere did the protest against BM was as intense as the one against Dilwale. A few shows of BM were cancelled in Pune and that's it. There wasn't a full on negative campaign against it like it was against Dilwale and these aren't excuses but facts. There were WhatsApp messages being sent before Dilwale even released and after it released. People were making fake screenshots of things Shahrukh hasn't tweeted and circulating it on WhatsApp calling him anti- national. Around 800 of Dilwale's show were cancelled during the first weekend but I don't think facts matter here as obviously people are hell bent on saying protest are mere "excuses" all the while quoting ticket prices and number of screens as a reason for why certain movies did better...lol!

People don't watch shit if given a choice...wow...that's some statement. I guess people living in Malaysia , UAE , Australia , UK obviously have no taste considering the amount of business Dilwale has done in overseas.

"King Kong" ...😆 Damn...I didn't know even people who didn't care for Shahrukh care enough to come up with such lovely nicknames for him. Damn cool nickname man. As for him accepting defeat...hahahaha! His movie is the second highest grosser of the year despite a clash from two big movies out there and protests. As for him being gracious , he has already stated the movie didn't do as well as he expected in India. That's called being honest without giving a single "excuse" as it's been said here.

And for everyone here who's not used to using google. PK released on 19 and the protest against it started on 28 or 29 Dec. It had two full weekends where it ran without any hindrance. Salman's tweet didn't affect BB because he deleted those tweets 😆 and tendered an unconditional apology along with his dad.

round and round and round we go😆
btw.. none of the shahrukh fans have hailed Dilwale as masterpiece.. it was a simple movie.. all we said was that the collections would have been higher if not for the cancellations and protests..
anyhow carry on ppl... continue here till a new thread is opened for discussing the same thing😆

without any protests, biggest release ,no.1 bhaijaan ,best Wom,masterpiece, movie of the decade still couldnt cross pk which was affected by protests.
so dear salman fans ,instead of giving ur imaginary protest excuses accept that salman isnt no.1 .

if protests were solely the reason for SRK failing to make big numbers/break records

then what happened to HNY?
