Rajkumar Hirani, who is directing a biopic on filmstar Sanjay Dutt, has put the film on hold for now. The director is concentrating on his production Saala Khadoos first, and only once its done will Hirani move to the biopic.

Saala Khadoos stars R Madhavan in the lead role. The story revolves around the life of a banished boxing coach, who tries a shot at reclaiming his reputation through a student.
Madhavan seemed to have punched his way to viewers' hearts with his work for the film. From his beefed-up physique to his rough temper, the trailer of Saala Khadoos provided people with ample reason to laud the actor.
Along with Madhavan, Saala Khadoos stars real-life boxer Ritika Singh as his student. Ritika essays the character of an arrogant fisherwoman, who Madhavan's character takes under his wing to live the dream of a knockout.
From the moment the trailer of Saala Khadoos was released on the internet, it has only been raining praises for this Rajkumar Hirani production. And that is what has made Hirani wait to begin the biopic on Sanjay Dutt.
In the Rajkumar Hirani-directed biopic, Ranbir Kapoor will step into the shoes of Sanjay Dutt.
Earlier, Kapoor had said how he was gaining weight and trying to look like Dutt for the film. "When I'll start Rajkumar Hirani's biopic on Sanjay Dutt, I will try to be like him, get his body type... He had put on some weight too... I dont know how much weight I'll put on. When the discussions will begin regarding the film, maybe then I'll decide," the Tamasha actor had said.
As of now, Ranbir is busy with Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, in which he will be seen alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma.
