this shows there is no point in discussing this topic with you. 😆
adding to Kapi's comment Aamir in Earth beats every performance SRK has ever done. (am no biased).

But why? Acting is subjective, ain't it? What appeals to me may not appeal to you and vice versa. It all depends on how well you connect to an actor's performance. Of course there is this element of bias where you tend to give more leeway to actors you like..I have always felt SRK acts better than Aamir and Ranbir is better than all the Khans..No wonder i still like him 😆

On topic, I don't even know who are the so called natural actors in Bollywood. But naah, I'm not here to sit and watch boring roles and characters that could be played oh so naturally and that do not require any prep at all. 😳

@rogerocks : Yes you are being biased. 😆 I love Sarfarosh and Ajay Rathore way too much, so don't agree with you. 😊 😊

Whether it's method acting or spontaneous , it should look natural and effortless onscreen , it shouldn't look like you're acting , that's all that matters. However method acting does impress me , especially when actors undergo drastic changes to get the feel of their character , it shows dedication tbh.

I like Aamir in Rangeela a lot more than Aamir in Sarfarosh..Am probably one of the few who thinks that was his best performance in the 90s by a huge distance..He rocked the role of a tapori..

P.S. I love that film 😆 Its one of ARR's finest works till date..

SRK tends to ham a lot but when he is in good form, i personally relate to his performance a lot more than Aamir's..The climax of CDI for example..Its kinda sad though that we have to keep harping about a couple of his movies cos he only likes doing trash 😆 Anyways, i guess to each his own..I know ppl who think Ranbir is a horrible actor and his performance in Barfi is super overrated while i legit think its an absolutely fabulous performance..There is no accounting for taste 😆

Yes, method actors are able to pull off different types of roles convincingly. Without them, it will be really boring in terms of range of roles and variety in movies.
The best thing about method actors is that they can play tapori role, they can play a hitman, they can play old kings, romantic ones or whatever the role demands..😆
I am mightily impressed by Priyanka, Ranveer, Aamir, Daniel Day lewis, Christian Bale etc.

Something to notice is SRK though he has done several so called action movies never appeared convincing in action while Aamir has pulled all kinds of roles. I mean if you watch ghajini or sarfarosh, nobody can say it's the same 5 foot some inch (not a body to appear like police or fighter) aamir👏 who worked in raja hindustani etc

@bold so true!!
@underlined..has to be the sentence of the year on Bw forum!!

There was so much dignity n integrity in his performance.

Acting, method or natural, doesn't matter how prepare, when it is onscreen it should look natural!!

It should not look like acting.

My favorite natural performances

Rk -wus, yjhd, barfi, rajneeti

Srk-khkn, khnh, ddlj, cdi, swades

Rao- BBB, rl, Ddd, Bajirao

There is only good acting and bad acting all this shit of method non method is crap. Look at mahan method actor Hrithik he did method acting in some movies and looked extremely hammy and overdone it looked fake on screen not natural. Look at Anushka she is natural and look at the result in BBB. Ranveer didnt prepare for DDD still he looked natural from start every role require certain things. Sonakshi didnt do any method acting she was unprepared in Lootera but look at the result of Sona's non methoding in Lootera. Aamir also did some prep for Dhoom 3 that character he played in Dhoom 3 was horribly hammy. Imran khan did very extensive prep for Matru ki bijlee he tried full method acting ka keeda the result is out for the world. For me I need to feel for the character and buy the story you have to convince me. What am i going to do with method acting if you give me Revolver Rani or Matru ki Bijlee? even their acting was panned. Different movies have different demands. For some movies you have to be natural for some movies you have to go all out but never over do anything.
