Sooraj broke a already weak soul. In a way, that is a crime. Not legally though. We have laws against physical torture but not against mental ones. That's the bad part of our today's society. Jiah was weak and hence, didn't understand the implications of what she was putting herself through by being with a guy who didn't give a shit about her. But don't think legally Sooraj will be punished.

And NO, Sooraj did not take her to the hospital, he did the rest of the job himself, which is medically possible by a layman.
In the 1960s when abortion was still illegal in US, women used to self abort using all sorts of devices, including clothes hangers.

This whole thing is so terrible! Love is blind! Jiah shd not have trusted that scoundrel so much, given her slavish love to an undeserving jerk! He just took advantage of her and then abused her mentally, physically and emotionally!
And I cant believe people are still supporting this scoundrel after reading that he used to beat her up. Says right there in the article that the costume lady saw bruises on Jiah's neck and shoulders!

And maybe you are the one who is so bent on putting it all on Sooraj that you too are saying things out of ignorance and bias.

Jiah too had every reason to not want a pregnancy. She was still interested in wanting a career.. Her words herself said she was afraid of pregnancy. She went for the abortion with him, she was part of it. It is simply the need to put it all on him that it is all made out as if she had no choice in the matter. She went to him, not a hospital. What proof do you have that she wanted to go to a hospital, and she too wasn't worried of news leaking out? What exact procedure was done for her abortion by the doctor? Is bleeding and hemorrhaging part of what's expected in that procedure?

It is not a matter of supporting Sooraj. It is a matter of noticing that everything and anything is pinned on him and pinned on him solely.

As for abusive, Jiah also has a history of self-inflected abuse, as is said here. The pattern for abuse victims who are still with their abusers is to deny the abuse and claim the marks were from accidents or falls from their own carelessness. So while, yes it is possible that he did physically abuse her, all this blame-game on him completely for everything else such as the texts is not helping matters any and is only leading to questioning things such as claims of physical abuse.

Maybe if every damn thing wasn't put on his head as abuse, people wouldn't be so questioning of the things such as him being abusive. But no, angry texts are considered abusive, abortion, which couples go through, is considered his fault. Fighthing and breaking up is his fault. Him cheating (or rather her suspicions of his cheating), his wanting to break up, etc etc. All that is also a crime. (And by the way, if he were so abusive then I would expect the texts to somehow also reflect that, which they do not. Especially when he keeps telling her to call him).

Jiah has a history of not only depression but probably other issues too. She has had problems in other relationships too. She is angry at Sooraj before her suicide as proven by her dumping the flowers. She then lashes out and writes a suicide note blaming him, and commits suicide. So whenever someone who has depression commits suicide due to bad boyfriend, cheating boyfriend, etc etc--the boyfriend should be held liable as abetting suicide. Again, Zarina Wahib is correct. Reading all this, people will just stay far away and drop girls when they realize they have issues. Oh, and if those girls start clinging and being possessive and not letting go, and commit suicide for being dropped--I guess then too, the guys will be held liable. No win situation here.

They found Sooraj lied about many issues and made up things. We don't have each and every detail of the investigation. They may well have some solid proof.

Sooraj is a jackass and a d-bag . But then media trial won't help anyone. He would be released after few years even if this tried in Court because it's all circumstantial and Jiah's emotional state.
That abortion bit , Gosh awful lot.

I m just glad the judge spoke about the irresponsible behaviour of CBI. How will anyone take these organisations seriously if their investigation is leaked to the public on a daily basis. The media houses are turning more competent than these people. Mazak chal raha hai. Its suppose to be confidential for a reason. Serious actions needs to be taken against them for being this careless and irresponsible.

He is alleged to have beat her up too. So there is the physical aspect too. If it's true, he deserves to be punished.

^Everything is hearsay now. There is no way to prove that he was beating her up. It's possible but there is no way to prove it. One person says that Jiah had bruises but how can it automatically be assumed it was Suraj who beat her up? She is not here anymore to tell us.

She could have fallen or gotten into an altercation with someone. They might even be self-inflicted. Jiah was in a bad emotional state and it's not unheard of that these type of people hurt themselves. Some people even cut themselves with razor blades.

It's extremely scary if a boyfriend or girlfriend can be held responsible for a person's suicide. It's one thing if he gave her poison himself or something but he was not even there when she died.

I'm sure this guy is an assh0le but since when does that make someone a murderer? They had a relationship, had sex, tried to abort the baby and I assume he was trying to leave her at the end. But it's not a crime to want to end a relationship. Jiah was very unstable anyway so it almost makes sense that he didn't want to be involved in that situation anymore.

I'm sorry but this really sounds like a witch hunt. I would be very scared of such laws if I lived in India.
