Kareena did not want to play Hrithik's blind lover

For those who've been wondering why Kareena hasn't fit herself into Sanjay Gupta's next starring Hrithik Roshan, this one is for you.

The Jab We Met star has two reservations complying to what the role demands from her.

One, she is not too keen playing a blind girl in the film. Two, the length of her role is not as long as she would've liked.

This is exactly why she has excused herself from the project, which will be produced by Rakesh Roshan.

9xe has it that Hrithik is, in fact, so excited about this film (which obviously Kareena isn't about so far) that he has postponed YRF's film Thug which will be helmed by Dhoom director Vijay Krishna Acharya and starts Gupta's flick in January after he is free from Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenj-o-Daro.

And what about the spanner thrown in by Sudhanshu Pandey who claims that Gupta and Roshan Sr ditched him by taking away his script (Hrithik's next with Daddy dearest lands in a legal tangle, Dec 4)? Last heard, Pandey was getting his papers ready to send a legal notice to Gupta and Hrithik's father. Let's see what happens on that front.



The four-film pair- Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Yaadein, Mujhse Dosti Karogi! and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon- who was also romantically involved came very close to working again in Karan Johar's Shuddhi, but Hrithik walked out from the film only to see it being put at the backburner.

So, who comes in place of Kareena? Simple. An A-list actress who is game to play blind in a role which is extremely meaty but not long. Unless of course Randhir Kapoor and Babita's younger daughter has a change of heart.
