rhea was producer . she and sonam signed fawad . rhea and sonam both wanted fawAd. and nowdays casting decisions are taken by producers( thats why alia is in every dharma film. ) 😊

Rhea's production house does have an eye for talent. Even in Aisha Lisa Haydon, Amrita Puri, Arunoday had shone. Amit Trivedi gave his first commercially successful album with Aisha. In Khoobsurat not just Fawad they brought Armaan Mallik and Badshah to the mainstream. These people were known in their respective fields but by a limited audience but they got good exposure with Rhea's PH. So yes they do deserve credit for Fawad. Funnily enough Rhea's productions are designed for Sonam but never benefited her.

I still think the overall interest in him was helped by his shows airing in India in conjunction to Khoobsurat's release. KJo noticed Fawad because his mother watched his shows. Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai is a huge fan of his shows. Personally I didn't find anything special about his role in Khoobsurat. As a fan of his previous work I was disappointed. But I never denied the fact that Kapoors gave him a good platform. I did say in my post that they deserve credit for that.

I agree with that. When they were shooting for the film the press releases didnt even mention Fawad:

Yet when the first PC was held for the trailer release he was pushed as the star of the show. I would say Fawad was lucky with the timing. The success of his shows coincided with the promotions of Khoobsurat and he was able to encash it.

sonam should thank fawad that at least we now know who is sonam kapoor 😆
fawad was already a super star n a rage in Pakisthan n India too..
the fact that Khubsurat only credible performance of sonam further proves
that what anil kapoor could nt do for his daughter all these yrs
fawad could do in just one film 😆

come on..fawad was never a rage in India before khoobsurat or zindagi shows..like people here r saying both came at the same time..I have never seen those shows so I know fawad only and only coz of sonam kapoor.

same goes for badshah and Lisa haydon

Whatever money the film made was because of the Fawad hype, doubt it would've made anything otherwise.

BW kind of ruined Fawad for me

IMO he was better of playing shauhar roles in Pak dramas. He used to look so much better during the times of ZGH and Humsafar. Now he looks so malnourished😕

He also had better chemistry with Pak ladies. I didnt like watching Sonam throw herself all over fawad in Khoobsoorat. Now its Aloo's turn with K&S. I dont know how to feel about this 🤔

I don't know about others but I'm extremely thankful for Sonam and her sister for bringing Fawad into my life. I had no idea who he was until Khoobsurat promos were aired and I was curious to see who this guy is and ended up watching his tv shows. Now I'm down with Fawad fever 😆 So thank you Sonam!!
