Method and effortless acting are not mutually exclusive IMO. Method actors are supposed to be effortless, the labor they put in shouldn't come forth to the audience. As a matter of fact, they need to imbibe the nuances of the character before hand so as to deliver effortlessly.

I prefer natural actors like Kareena and Vidya. But like someone mentioned..good acting is what I like to see doesn't matter the technique the actor uses. That said there are pros and cons to both type of acting. Natural actors can get carried away and give you a lazy performance and strategic actors can over think everything and give you a robotic performance that seem way too rehearsed.

I couldn't do the poll because not every actor has ever been able to do it 100% all the time. It depends on the role, the script and so on. I don't know much about acting styles as well to say which I prefer.

All I know is when someone touches that deep part of me and makes me feel emotion, not just sad, but happy, silly, empathy and really gets into the role that I do not see the person and I connect with the character, that is who I prefer. I also prefer when people use their whole body to act, not just dialog or tone of voice. I would prefer the person disappear into the role and I do not see them, but what they are portraying. For example, Kareena is such a dominant screen presence that I always see her, even in JWM, but in Omkara I did not see her, I saw only Dolly. PC has done it too. In Barfi she just disappeared into the role and what I see in the little of the trailer in Baji Rao astounds me. I am watching her in Quantico now and I see PC in it, but in Baji Rao I see Kashi Bai. The actress who has done it the most for me and consistently is Kajol, even in crappy roles and films.

Strategically Natural. I might be interpreting the definitions wrong, but the way I see and understand it:
Strategical acting is when a person becomes fully immersed in the character. Each role they play brings a new side. For example Anushka Sharma in NH10 and Anushka Sharma in BBB (though I'd categorize Anushka as a natural actor).

Natural acting to me means someone who's characters only subtly change. For the most part, across the board, the characters are very close to the personality and styles of the actor. This isn't a negative though, because these actors can just snap into acting mode.

To me, the one actress that stands out in BW as a strategically natural actor is Tabu. But if we include South Indian actresses, I think Anushka Shetty and Ileana D'Cruz stand out very high (with respect to Ileana, her BW films, with the exception of Barfi, haven't been able to capitalize on her abilities. You'd have to watch some of her movies from the South). I'm not saying that since I have an obvious bias towards them (check my siggy and DP lol), but it's something I honestly feel. i'm sure there are others, this is just my opinion

I think a strategically natural actor is someone who brings the positives of both sides and merges them. A person who brings the zest and flavor of themselves while in a role of a completely new character.

Natural acting but Priyanka Chopra should be in the second option anyway. Parineeti isn't that great yet.

Vidya should be in the same group as PC and Kangana, she is not similar to Kareena. I would choose the PC, Kangana, Vidya group then.
