U didn't write anything about the Amazing Kitchen Scene 😉 . It's my Fav along with Jalte Diye Ofcourse 😳 .Also loved the Raj Tilak Scene 😃 , It was quite emotional 😭

Hawww... tauba... Mainu maff kar... I wrote the review so fast

Good golly. I just couldn't handle when Sonam started wearing that Lavendar sari when she was being chased around the table and she gives Salman that smack on his butt - I was getting over eager because I knew this was leading upto Jalte Diye. And the kitchen scene was just... I mean, I just... when she sat with him on the floor, when he drank water so cutely and when she said she also wants to drink and then he smiled and wiped his face and said: abhi laaya and she starts drinking from the tap... and then they zoom in on her face... you know I've always been in awe of Rajshri heroines beauty in their specific roles be it Bhagyashree or Madhuri or Sonali or Amrita Rao and it was no different with Sonam, I feel it's quite difficult to exude simplicity. That girl is just beautiful. Too beautiful. I've said this since the beginning of time, right from Saawariya & Bahara. And I loved Salman's reactions to whatever she was saying about highs and lows, like how he said earlier and just the way he looked at her like omg, this is real but it isn't real because I'm not Vijay and I love this girl but I have to remain in my limits. Oh god my heart broke at the end when he said it was the Rajkumari's hukum to shave his mooch and when he implored Vijay to become the life partner Maithali wishes him to be and that donation can 😭😭😭 The way he does everything with a smile, so pure-hearted. Truly he was Prem Dilwala in EVERY way.

When my exams are over, we are going to discuss every scene/interaction of Maithali and Prem phir se 😳

Awww I know . Even I was also always a big Fan of Rajshri's Heroines . They had that Simplicity , Innocence , Something very attractive in them .And Like U said Sonam was not an Exception . She was beyond beautiful , & beyond amazing in the whole Film . Loved her a lot as Maithali .

Oh That Tap Scene was amazing too . Look at the 2 different situations of the similar Tap scenes of both prem & Maithali & how amazingly Sooraj Sir had directed both scenes . MARVELOUS . With PREM he showed that Tap scene as masti playful type of scene , But With Maithali he showed the same Tap Scene in little bit Romantic type . Loved the Contrast in both .

PREM was an amazing Character yaar . Sachii mein Dilwala tha . His Heart was all for Maithali , For some time he couldn't even realize that He is in love (In that Jalte Diye Song) But then that One Hug ..& he realized that He is in love with her but Can't be hers as He don't have any right on her 😭 . Loved it sooo soo much .

Yeah Sure We will discuss loads of SalNam Scenes & PREM / Vijay's Character after ur exams . rest of others too may join us 😊

Count me in! Chevi, your review is amazing! I will be around to discuss PRDP scene by scene, iam trying to not spoil it for those who are yet to see it. But i would love to do that whe you girls are ready.
Iam really upset SB cut a single bit off Jalte Diye & the camel scene, since that is when Maithili let go of her hurt & anger with Vijay when Prem did something that unexpected for her complains, something she does not expect from prideful Vijay.. @ least the puppet dance was saved! It explain their first meeting so well!

I hope someone who saw the cut version will post on it.

I am sorry to be late but my health is down a bit.. fighting with stomach ulcer.. need your prayers guys!!
I watched the movie in Cinema with my mother and it was the first time ever that she had entered in a Cinema Hall... My father has been a bit bore, unromantic and strict (lol) all through his life.. So I was looking at her expressions.. She enjoyed the movie like a child.. she was clapping, singing the songs and getting emotional in the climax.. She fell in love with Prem Dilwala and was really worried about him lol 😳 But I could never forget these precious moments and this has become my favourite Salman's movie... She was so happy that she asked me is there any other good movie like that or is there any other Salman's movie... I can't thank enough the entire team for making such a nice family entertainment 👏 Blessings!!

zee_k: Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. Sending my best wishes and hope you get well soon.
And about the movie, really nice to know that your mom loved it. I guess that was one of the most important intention of the director who wanted families to go out and enjoy the movie. Looks like he did achieve what he hoped for.

Finally decided to see the movie, given that I've loved Sooraj Barjatya/Rajshri movies in the past. I enjoyed PRDP. It didn't create the Maine Pyar Kiya or Hum Saath Saath Hain magic for me, but it was still a nice watch. Salman was great. As always, he brought "Prem" to life. Sonam did well too. No one else could have looked like the princess that she did so I can see why Sooraj Barjatya wanted only her as Princess Maithili. I enjoyed the grand sets and costumes. Sometimes it's just nice to watch grand things on screen. Prem-Maithili scenes were nice, there was simplicity in their romance, which I'm a sucker for. I also liked the Prem-Bapu (Anupam Kher) bonding. Virgin Bapu, haha! There were lots of songs, some almost right after the other. But it brought back that old Bollywood feel for me, when each movie would have about 8 songs. I miss the old-school Bollywood movies so I enjoyed PRDP and its many songs.
I have a question for anyone who has seen the movie.
SPOILER AHEAD
Was Ajay Vijay's step-brother or real brother? I didn't catch that part. When they showed that childhood scene, it was evident that the sisters had another mother, but did Vijay and Ajay have the same mother, making them real brothers?
It's a minor detail but it's annoying me that I don't know!
