The dance is so wonderfully coordinated and in sync, it's really hard to tell compare anyone with anyone. Kudos to Deepika and PC, such a treat to see well choreographed Indian dances with two leading ladies. Girls Like to Swing was pure torture.

Mastani is dancing pinga for the 1st time. Hence her hesitation, awkwardness and PC's bemused look to see her clad in the traditional sari and jewelry (probably the 1st time Mastani wore those)

Maybe Kashibai wasnt as hostile towards Mastani in the beginning when Bajirao married her and brought her over...it was later when Mastani bore him a son that Kashibai started getting jealous and insecure.

Bajirao's mother, brother and other family members were more hostile towards Mastani because of her background.

I think what this is it too!! In the olden days it was very common of 2-3 wives of the husband to exist peacefully! They didn't mind if their husbands brought home a second wife, Infact did treat them like little sisters! In the Ramayan, Mahabharata also the wives called each other sisters! So I think it is normal of Kashibai to give nurturing expression to Mastani, since she was new & all!!

From what I have read about the stories till now, Kashibai was a very simple, homely type of wife & was okay with Bajirao bringing in Mastani! Infact I feel she was kind of that balidan & 'what pati does is always right' kind of wife 😆

It was Bajirao's family who was against the alliance, not because he brought second wife but because Mastani was Persian/ Muslim!! That was what was looked down upon, a Hindu marrying a Muslim! It was his family which bharoed Kashibai's ears against Mastani, which made her turn hostile against Mastani. It was his family which did things against Mastani, but Bajirao may have thought of Kashibai to be doing all this, hence affecting their relationship which would give Kashibai all the more reason to hate Mastani!!

As much as people expecting Kashibai to be a kickass character, she is not going be! I have a feeling she'll start doormat, then turn grey!! 😳
