Ahaha...brings back such old memories!

Have been his fan since Fauji, knew the boy had something special in him! 😳 Didnt like Circus so much, he was too jumpy in that one but in Fauji, where he did Tom Cruise's role (Top Gun inspired) was too good! A Star was born indeed! ⭐️
Even remember In which Annie gives it those ones...that experimental college movie shot with handheld videocam...but dont remember SRK in it. 😆
SRK does look very good in glasses, like the character of Ajay in Baazigar. He shd wear glasses more often in his movies, like in Raees poster hes looking so impressive in glasses!

he was in only 10 episodes in circus
i think he went to mumbai when it was being made
his eyes have a special charm 😳

I had not watched any of his serials when I saw him in movies. Later some of my friends said, they had seen him in some serial and he was good. What I mean to say is, he was not a TV 'star', when he entered Bollywood. This struck me recently, when someone was asking why certain TV star did not make it big in Bollywood. Both Sharukh or Vidya were not stars in TV. Star in Hum Paanch was not Vidya. Even then, the big stars in TV did not shine in Bollywood (like Nitish Bharadvaj who acted in Mahabharat got a chance with Madhuri. But he could not overcome his image).

Sharukh was not a popular TV star. So he did not have a image hangover. He was lucky, his character was not noticed by large mass, instead by a film maker (Hema Malini).

sorry but abhimanyu rai , his character in fauji had become very famous

Fauji was a huge hit back then, so was Circus. We watched these shows regularly.
Abhimanyu Rai was very popular amongst TV viewers, became a household name!
In those days, there were only 2 TV channels, no cable TV... so any popular show or character was watched and followed by everyone.
Not like now when there are dozens of TV channels, hundreds of serials and its quite difficult for any single actor or actress to make a mark, unless its a Balaji show.
So we all knew SRK before he debuted in movies, the first movie of his that was a huge hit was Deewana.
