All said and done, Ranbir and DP star power is far more than Shahid's. So d chances of Tamasha becoming a hit are far more than Shandaar, I feel.

I know IF is desperate to pull down Ranbir but he has a huge fan following among the 15-25 age group(my peers.) I guess the 80's born kids like Shahid more as they grew up watching him but my gen loves Ranbir a lot more.And plus, DP's star power is immense, perhaps more den Ranbir + Shahid so chnaces of Tamasha becoming a hit r more den Shandaar.

I like Ranbir and Deepika as a pair, but they look really BORING in Tamasha. There is absolutely no chemistry. I also think after YJHD people had high expectations with the pair, so they are disappointed. Alia and Shahid look like babies dancing around each other. There is no conflict in Shaandaar. It looks fairly predictable and boring.
