Yeah, I thought so...they have been living in Jorasanko forever...they were total Ghotis, not Bangals. 😆

My family also came from North Bengal which is now in Bangladesh.

My family comes from Bangladesh too and I used to be so confused about ghoti and bangal in the past. 😆

Damn I didn't read the news I was too shocked with him being in demand 😆. I didn't think anyone will ever make a remake of Kabuliwala. Its a beautiful story and I love it. My nickname is Mini because of the character and apparently I used to be glued to TV watching the movie again and again. I dnt want the remake for some reason now. 🤔

Exactly! he is a great actor and deserves better projects, it depends on the director how to treat him and his character and how to extract the best out of him. We've already seen it in khalnayak, vaastav, mission kashmir, munna bhai series and other films.

he bounced back in 90's with vaastav and other films so he will do the same again, bad news for those who thought his career is over or who can't distinguish the actor from the person, too bad 😆

Rabidranath's family was Zamindar of Silaidaha which falls in Bangladesh

He was sent to oversee the Zamindari by his father when he was young

Yes they were settled in Jorashako much before partition

Kabuliwala was written by Rabindranath in India and the film was made much later in India not in Bangladesh
