Apparently Ranbir was going to get 32 crore for Bombay Velvet. Ranbir signed Tamasha before Roy and Bombay Velvet flopped. While Deepika is currently the highest paid actress, I doubt she's getting more than 10 crore. And while I don't think Ranbir is getting 32 crore for Tamasha, I doubt he is getting anything less than 10.
It's not as simple as the one whose films with the better box office returns will be paid more irrespective of their gender. If that was the case, these actresses wouldn't have raised the issue of unequal pay.
